Turkish Halvah Halva (Halva with vanilla, 350)

This is the worst halva I have ever eaten. First, it looks nothing like the picture. It arrived as a brown, dried-out brick. Essentially the color of mud, there are tan flecks on the surface that look like mold; scrape this off and the color is uniformly brown. Second, the texture is far too dense. It is as if it was liquid, poured into the container and then allowed to set. However they did it, it is a thick, brown, dried out, over-sweetened brick. Which gets us to .... Third: the lid says exp. dt is 01/05/2019. Okay,,,, BUT it also says the Prod. dt was 02/05/2017. Yup 21 months ago !! That is pretty much inexcusable. Sitting around for almost two years may have a lot to do with the poor quality of the product. But, too, the poor quality of the product may have a lot to do with why they can't sell it.

Terrible halva. First off, it looks nothing like what is pictured. It leaked oil all over the inside of the package it came it and tastes stale and cheap. For this much money, it should be good quality halva. This cheap crap can be purchased at most international markets for less than half as much

Tasty, but not My favorite. Ordered 2, One plastic container was smashed in the corner from shipping loosely in shipping box and I had to throw away 1/4 of the Halvah due to plastic shards in the candy. Also, not the consistency of halvah I’ve had before. texture was almost like “mousse” and very dry. Won’t order this brand again.

I used to get this at the health food store I used to shop at. Then I moved and couldn't ever seem to find it anywhere locally. I decided to look online and found this. It is absolutely delicious and I plan to order more in the future. It's a good source of protein and a really nice, good tasting "pick me up" in the afternoon when I start running out of steam. I would definitely recommend this to others

The halva looks very dry and looks like it may have been in storage for awhile. I will say that expiration date is good and I also utilized 1 day delivery with $35 minimum prime shipping. With that being said, the container was in good condition but the halva just didn’t look appetizing. I was highly disappointed and won’t be ordering again.

It tastes good but not like the Halvah you get in Turkey. If you do not like the high sugar content of the middle eastern Greek Halva, this is a perfect substitute. I rated 2 as it did not match the Halva i’ve experienced in different places in Turkey. Product good quality!

Anyone who knows that real traditional Halvah feels like in the mouth and tastes like will love this product.It's the real thing. Not oily. Not dry. Just right. Melts in your mouth with just enough texture to be satisfying.
