Comparable (better?) to Camelbak at a cheaper price.
So far, so good. No leaks yet. It seems to be made of pretty sturdy stuff that won't tear or puncture easily but I don't intend to put it to the test. I haven't noticed any odd flavor either, but I admit that I'm not the pickiest person when it comes to the taste of water. I was a little worried about the bite valve being really stiff but it turns out that you only need a very slight pressure to get it to open up. Despite that, it still doesn't leak when you're not biting down. You can turn the flow of water off by twisting the bite valve, which is nice and works well, but I think I might prefer the on/off switch on Camelbaks a little more. But this was $13 less than the same sized Camelbak and has a much better bite valve cap, so I still think that this is the better product. My Camelbak did last 10 years before it started to leak, so time will tell if this holds up as well.

best buy for the money
I purchased 2 for my son and myself. We used it for backpacking with Boy Scouts in New Mexico (12 days). Easy to use and clean. The big mouth makes it easy to fill with ice cubes (when you have them at home) and makes for easy cleaning and drying. The detachable hose made it super easy to fill the bladder without weaving the hose in and out of where it was attached to my backpack. Other scouts had bladders but had to fish the hose in and out to fill (inconvenient). The mouthpiece did not leak and worked perfectly (the mouthpiece cover was nice too - kept dirt off of it whenever I lay down my backpack). I would buy it again and recommend it to others.

Convenient and Quiet
This works well. It resists taste and orders and has a nice cap to keep the mouthpiece clean. I've had it out hunting in some very hot weather, and the water stays amazingly cool down in my backpack. It is also quiet, because it collapses as you drink up the contents rather than forming an air space to make sloshing sounds. Also, since you don't have to stop to drink, you stay better hydrated. Neutral taste as well. If it has a flaw, it is that it very hard to drain it and store it dry. I have not had it that long but it still seems to resist smell developing.

Great hydration system!
The Source 2L Hydration System comes with everything you need. The bladder and hose are included in the package along with a little cap to cover the mouth piece. Upon arriving, I wanted to test out the product to make sure there were no leaks and that it worked properly before taking it out for a hiking/camping trip. I have to say, every review I read highly rated this hydration system and I can see why. The bag is made of a thicker plastic-like material which is plenty durable. I currently have this in my Teton Sports Fox 5200 backpack and everything fits perfectly. It's easy to fill, has both a bite and turn nozzle, and the water flow was just fine. I have yet to use it out on the trail, but will be doing so soon and will update this post after. So far, I would give this a 5 star rating and would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a hydration system that is durable and an overall good product. Also, the hose is long enough to fit through the slit in the backpack and I really like the cap that is attached to prevent the mouth nozzle from getting dirty.

As described, better than OEM for Nathan running packs.
Replaced my Nathan 2 litre bladder with this and this one is superior. No nasty bitter taste from the bite valve that perssisted on my Nathan throughout its life.I like the bite valve cover and removable hose. I have detected no leaks fom the disconnect socket.Bite valve requires less effort to activate than my Nathan bladder was.One thing that I like that I was not anticipating is the stiffness of this bladder. It does not slide down into the bottom of my pack if it comes un-hooked fom the tether. The walls of this thing are way thicker than the Nathan. This makes a dry bladder heavier, but I do not detect a significant weight difference when packed. Your experience may differ. My nathan also had the wide opening to fill and to clean. This one is not quite as wide as the Nathan and due to the aforementioned stifness, it cannot easily be turned inside out for drying like the Nathan could. So far, I have had no problems drying by hand and then leaving a dry towel in the open bladder to store. This is an excellent bladder at any price and I'm considering another to be able to simply switch them out at aid stations.

Great product for athletes
This bladder is easy to clean and easy to use. It went on a week-long backpacking trip and was invaluable for its light weight, ease of filling, and ease of cleaning. It even served as an effective "shower." It now gets used as often as a steel water bottle for all athletics, including day trips biking and hiking. No leaks & large volume. It gets stored with a clean face towel stuffed inside - dry and fresh for the next adventure.

Durable reservoir - heaven duty
One of my rules is that I never try new gear in a race situation, but my Nathan bladder busted (AGAIN) so I took a big chance on this new reservoir during a Spartan beast, and I’m glad I did. This reservoir is MUCH more durable than the Nathan bladder that came with my vest (that recently busted for the second time). I’m convinced there’s no way a Nathan bladder would have made it though that race. The material is thicker, and the barbed wire didn’t get though it when I snagged. The only drawback I noticed (not a big deal) is that I HEARD the water sloshing around quite a bit, even though it FELT more secure than Nathan bladder.Overall VERY happy with this purchase, it earned its stripes immediately. 👏🏻

Water at all times
I have used this water bottle extensively and it's worked and lasted for years. Convenient of course happening on your back and you don't even notice it's there until of course you're thirsty and need a drink, you can easily open up and use the water for making coffee or whatever you want it's quite simple to undo it and for the water out into a can or whatever you going to boil it with that numerous times quite simple it's the last day it's easy to refill easy to drink out of worth every penny I don't believe you'd be disappointed if you bought one of these.

VERY bad taste of plastic on initial use.
I go long distance rollerblading and have used a similar Deuter bag for years for hydration and I now needed a replacement. This looked very promising especially as it advertised 'Taste-Free System: Our co-extruded PE film retains the pure taste with absolutely no plastic flavor, also over time.' When I got this I rinsed it out thoroughly with warm water a few times to be sure it was clean, filled it with fresh water and then went for a skate. The plastic taste was absolutlely putrid and I struggled to drink the water and cut short my excercise. I have cleaned it out with soda water and lemon juice and will give it another try. Not sure where the weak link is - probably the plastic tube. It will be returned if I cannot get rid of the taste - very poor advertising - did not come with any instruction to clean it or rinse it before use.

Great pack!
Used it many times now and hasn't leaked once.. only complaint is after a while in the heat you get a plastic taste to the water, but this is not unique to this brand, even my nalgene bottles get that taste after a while. For the price though it's really worth getting
