After the best SummerSlam in WWE history in 2002, we have unfortunately been treated to some very poor or decent shows ever since. True 2008, 2011 and 2013 were very good, but the others have not been so lucky.The 2003 edition was extremely unmemorable, with one of the weakest Elimination Chamber matches in history. The match was very short for an Elimination Chamber match and the booking was even worse. Kurt Angle vs. Brock Lesnar was very good, but not as good as their Wrestlemania 19 match.In 2004 WWE produced probably the most controversial SummerSlam to date in what has become known as Bizarro World (Toronto Canada). This particular crowd booed practically every baby-face apart from Chris Jericho and gave The Undertaker the wave in what is one of the worst WWE Championship matches ever against JBL. True, Eddie Guerrero vs Kurt Angle and Randy Orton vs. Chris Beniot were very good matches, but the wrest of the card really let's this show down.2005 was a decent show, but I think it gets a little overrated at times. John Cena vs Chris Jericho was a good match and while Hulk Hogan vs. Shawn Michaels was good, it is definitely overrated, especially as it involves a lot of over-selling from Shawn Michaels.2006 was pretty forgettable, with every match seeming incredibly rushed. The match of the night would have to go to the I Quit Match with Ric Flair vs. Mick Foley, but nothing else really stands out, and Hulk Hogan vs. Randy Orton was a complete disaster.The only memorable part of the 2007 SummerSlam was the main event between John Cena and Randy Orton which is probably their best match together. The returns of Triple H and Rey Mysterio failed to live up to the hype, as the build up to their matches here lacked any great excitement.
