Bad Taste [1989] [DVD]

So bad it’s…just really, really bad. Ninety one minutes of utter garbage.Waited through the whole of this to see something genuinely funny or clever, or even the alien on the poster. None are there, except that the aliens do appear for the last quarter of the movie, and deserved better material than this. The nature of the spaceship is quite amusing, but doesn’t make up for the preceding 80 minutes of crap.If you have managed to miss this so far, do yourself a favour and keep that record up.

this film made me feel things I haven't felt since I was mentally stable, truly a masterpiece of cinematography combined with pure genius. however, my one question that was left unanswered is .. why the emphasis on her majesty Queen Elizabeth the 2nd and will there be a flowing instalment to this no doubt the life-altering experience of a movie...?

LOTR started, not here but in those little home movies he made. This is one of those little home movies that he and his friends padded out enough over the years to call a movie.Watch this. You'll probably hate it but it has it's place in history.Dereks don't run.

Remember renting this from my local vidoe store many years ago, and it stuck in my memory hence the reason for this purchase - I wasn't disappointed on rewatching all these years later! OK the script, acting and special effects are low rent but that only adds to the enjoyment rather than take away from it, and it's all played out with great gusto by the 'actors'. The simple storyline revolves around a unit of alien hunters being sent to a remote village to eradicate the alien population and much over the top gore results - all done in the best possible taste. Great fun, just sit back and enjoy the genius that is Peter Jackson.

Oh my God I love this film. This film is brilliant! The acting is well done, the story is funny and done great as well as the gore. OMG the gore! The gore on this movie is amazing lots of shooting, stabbing and chopping however the blood effect is quite bad but it does not matter because it is from 1989, so a brilliant movie and I cant wait to get Braindead soon. When I get it I will do a review on it and we will also see if its better then Bad Taste. Do I think it will be better? It would be very hard for Braindead to beat Bad Taste but it definitely has a high chance so would I recommend it - definitely and I would also recommend Braindead if you have seen Bad Taste and you liked it.

Genuinely one of my favourite movies. Crass yes but that was the idea. Good fun from start to finish.Not what everyone will enjoy but those that do will understand.

Totally daft and mind bending. You can tell its low budget its meant to be really tongue in cheek. I did watch it all the way through, would I watch it again probably not. Some of the goriness in the film was just plain daft but I really liked that about the film. It did turn my stomach in parts.
