Elements of Language, 3rd Course, Grade 9: Grammar Usage and Mechanics- Language Skills Practice

I purchased a used Holt grammar workbook, but it's in excellent condition with no writing at all inside.Great buy.

This workbook is the same book I taught from a few years ago. The grammar worksheets allow students to work the problems and not have to copy sentences from their book. The workbook is sectioned into parts of speech, verb usage, punctuation and more. This is a good book for freshmen to practice their grammar.

The book is great!!! I like the way it is laid out and i like the chosen lessons. Some of the lessons seem a bit confusing, but overall the book is solid. My problem is that THE BOOK DID NOT COME WITH AN ANSWER KEY. I had to buy it seperately for $80(used). The book is great but USELESS without the answer key. There are plenty of other cheaper good books that I would have bought instead, had I known this. So, I would give the review one star because I thought the book came with answers, but the book itself is still okay.

I love this for teaching. It explains each category simply and tests in a variety of ways. My only complaint is that it can seem repetitive. That is often a good tool for some, so I can't take away stars for that.
