In the raw
One of what seems like a never-ending supply of live radio broadcasts now being sold on Amazon by all manner of companies. This one is from Troy, New York, on the 'Inside The Electric Circus' Tour. As usual with these things, the front cover is wrong as by this stage guitarist Randy Piper had left and been replaced with bassist Johnny Rod (Blackie moving from bass to rhythm guitar). As the previous reviewer states this is very raw, in fact, it is very similar to a bootleg Hammersmith Odeon gig I had on tape for many years even including the same stage patter (the intro to 'Wild Child'). Sonically, it's not fantastic but neither is it really terrible - it's somewhere in between. In other words, I've heard worse. Although it shares similarities with 'Live in the Raw', it isn't that polished and it's therefore, a much more authentic WASP concert experience. I remember WASP sounding very much like this when I saw them in 1989 on 'The Headless Children' Tour. I think that once you accept that the sound isn't that great and you allow yourself to be carried away by it, you will find much to enjoy. The CD is in a glossy cardboard sleeve not a jewel case.

live albums you either love or hate them I fit fully into the latter ...
live albums you either love or hate them I fit fully into the latter as I love live releases, they to me are as important as the studio albums , you want to hear if that band can replicate on stage what you have heard on the studio releases, now this is not the first W.A.S.P. live offering ,it was recorded in new York state during the inside the electric circus tour and despite it having not the most polished production I still really like it for this reason ,it does have a slight bootleg quality to it I feel it gives a very honest feel to what a W.A.S.P. gig was like back then ,no overdubs or those horrible bits where they fade in between songs , it goes straight through like a juggernaut from start to finish no bulls***,it follows much the same tracklisting as live in the raw[the first official live album ]but less polished,it is not great but not terrible either but somewhere in between ,so I would recommend it , if you want a honest live feel to a heavy metal gig then you could do worst than starting here.

W.A.S.P. ... Live And Definitely Raw
If you already own the expanded version of 'Live ... In The Raw', then you're pretty much covered when it comes to the tracks included on this CD (the always-subtle 'Animal ...' aside); that said, I prefer this more visceral recording of Blackie and the boys. No, it's not perfect; nor is it crystal clear and polished - and it's all the better for it. You can hear the crowd, you get the solos, it's a 'warts an' all' superior bootleg, and well worth getting hold of if you're a fan of the band ('Sleeping (In The Fire)' is almost worth the asking price alone.)

WASP live from '87, sounding Raw!
This is not a smoothly polished live album with the sound quality that we are used to today - it's a radio recording so expect superior bootleg style quality, that said it was better than I was expecting. As a recording of WASP in 1987 it's a fantastic furious show, similar to live in the RAW but a bit more, well RAW! Blackie sounds amazing as always and they captured the full noise of the audience to. If you love WASP and want to turn back the clock you will not be disappointed.

Very poor
This is nothing more than poor bootleg it doesn't even sound like a desk/soundboard mix I would guess it was recorded by a member of the audience, who gave permission to allow this release & whoever it was could have at the very least got the right band members from that tour.Seems to be a bit of cashing in on someone's fame & I bought it good & proper, it's now gonna be consigned to the bin, may I suggest buying Live in the raw it's a better CD this however is S### but hey that's just my opinion & yes I did read the reviews so took a chance & bought it so I guess I should've known better.

Come on in!! WASP live awasome!!
This is a nostalgia trip for me, as I was went to a concert on the electric circus tour in Stoke On Trent. It brought back fond memories of that night! I still love WASP & this CD does it for me! The sound can be slightly out of spec & it sounds a bit distant, but this WASP at their rip roaring best!!
