These are great. I hate that it took me this long to try them. No more little bitty replacement blades and retainer rings and rubber o-rings and minute screws and various pieces. I was always getting up in a climbing stand, settle in, and when daylight comes I look down to find some blade or something missing or flopping loose....gimmicks! I use the 85 grain and they shoot a full foot higher/flatter at 40 yards than the 100 grain. The cut out blade practically does away with effects from wind or air friction in flight. They shoot like field points. Brush is thick here so I almost never shoot over 30 yds. Mass, penetration, speed, and all considered, when your arrow goes through their ribcage and comes out the other side, they usually die pretty quickly.

85 grain broadheads are a little scarce, if I realized the pro shop guy was setting my daughter up with them I would have had him use 75 or 100, however after months of practice I weighed her fieldpoints and didn't want to change her arrow set up right before hunting, so it was good to find these in 85. They are great fixed blade heads too, fly well penetrate great.

I've been using the Montec G5 broadhead for many years and it has always done a great job!! I wouldn't switch to anything else at this time. Very sharp and has an awesome impact of going right thru whatever your shooting at.
