Carrion C-1640 Black Hardshell Soprano Ukulele Case

I really like these Carrion ukulele cases. I have one for my soprano ukulele and one for my concert ukulele. Fit and finish on these cases is very good for the price. The case opens and closes easily and fits nicely all around the edges and all around my instruments. These are much better than the generic wood cases that are sold on Amazon which have much worse fit-and-finish; two of the generic cases that I bought and returned were difficult to close properly and I could feel nails poking through the wood inside the padding. Inside this case is nice support for the instrument neck and a nice layer of soft foam. Maybe not as plush as some of the cases that cost twice as much, but more than adequate for the small instruments that I carry and thinner padding makes the case less bulky. These wood-shell cases cost a little more than the styrofoam cases but they are not much heavier and wood is more durable, especially if you plan on keeping it for years.

I got the Soprano Uke case, it is great. Its a wood with a faux leather finish, and a satin interior, very sturdy buckles. It reminds me of my old trumpet case from school band. I got it for my modern Martin S1 soprano Uke, it fits fine. It is a little snug against the tip of the central headstock point, but not enough to worry about. The foam bracket hugging the neck is a little loose so I will probably lay a cloth in there to keep it snug so it won't shift in transit, but for a generic case the fit is excellent. The clasps are high quality and came with a security key for peace of mind and the storage compartment is large enough to hold a Snark tuner and egg shaker with room to spare, there is enough room around the headstock to leave on one of those D'Addario micro tuners. Its got an interior lid strap to hold the lid open at 90 degrees, which I like. It has a sturdy handle and two metal foot studs so it will stand on its edge without falling over. I was thinking as the cheapest hard case on Amazon they would cut some corners, but it turned out perfect.

Sturdy case for a good price. Note that this is for a standard soprano. I have a soprano long neck and it would not fit as there is no extra length. Also be aware there is a weird rubber logo fixed to the case near the handle that is not shown in the listing picture. Still, a nice case.

I received the case yesterday, and, first of all, it was dirty. Even though the box it came in was sealed and it was new, I had to wipe it off on one side. Second, the lock on the case does not work. It may not seem like a big thing, but my daughter was very happy to see that it locked but was upset that the lock was either broken or just didn't work. For those two things I took off two stars. On the plus side, her soprano uke fits perfectly and she loves it. It is not worth the hassle to return (I received it at the office and the box was thrown out) for the lock, although I'm still not happy about that.

I purchased a Kala KS-15S ukulele from Amazon, and I wanted to make sure I purchased a good hard-cover case for it to keep it safe during transportation, everyday use, etc. This case looks beautiful and it is completely functional. It is definitely fit for a soprano uke. The inside is felt covered, and there are foam pads along the sides and the bottom of the case, which the uke fits very snugly into. If I press the uke into this case, I can flip the case upside down and leave the lid open and the uke will NOT fall out.

It’s great but the only limitation is that there is a decal that is hard to remove without marring the case. I wanted to pull it off and paint the case to customize it but I am afraid that I will damage the surface.

I bought this for my husband, who isn't a musician(just likes to play a ukulele in his spare time). He wanted a hard case so he can take it with him when he travels. I don't know what kind of ukulele he has(I know it's a saprano), but it fit nicely in the case. A little snug at the base, but not damaging. Very light case too, sturdy and durable for traveling.
