Good Seed, Watch Conditions
I've heard a lot of good things about microclover so I purchased this Mountain Valley Seed Co Micro Clover Seed. All of the seeds appeared whole and healthy, and my test planting germinated and grew very well. Unfortunately, due to bad weather virtually none of the seeds I planted in the lawn came up, so I'll have to try again. In my test bed the clover has a rich green color, the plants are a much nicer size than traditional or field clover, and the plants are strong and healthy implying they'll be durable once they get a good start. I'm delighted with this seed and will replant.

Couldn't be easier to grow!
I love these micro clover seeds. They grow really well and are easy to grow with just a little watering in the beginning. We didn't do anything except just sprinkle them over some little bare patches we had in the lawn. The only downside is that they are very expensive and you would need a lot to cover much at all in your yard. We had to get two of them just to fill in a few bare spots in our backyard. I would love to have an entire yard of these but it is prohibitively expensive, at least buying it like this.

Buyer beware do not buy
DO NOT risk buying this…I ignored the other reviews that it was something other than micro clover & it was definitely NOT micro clover. There are now weeds all over my lawn. I googled the plant & it’s literally a weed. Everywhere now. This is RIDICULOUS. The return window just closed but there’s no way this should be allowed.

Seeds that delivered on germination.
Almost all the clover seed sprouted. I was surprised because of the clay soil. The seeds are so tiny that it makes it hard to spread with a handheld spreader. I opted to spread by hand and that resulted in some areas being over seeded. I am satisfied with the results I got with this seed brand. I almost forgot to mention that the seeds sprouted in 3 days. I would definitely buy this seeds again. They definitely look like microclover without weeds mixed in. I wish it included tips on how to more evenly distribute the seeds.

A good start to a beautiful and environment – friendly lawn
I’ve become a huge advocate of micro clover and mini clover as a more environmentally, friendly and sustainable ground cover that looks beautiful and uses much less water than grass. Plus, it provides its own nitrogen and is resistant to drought and pests. A nice bonus is that it’s a beautiful green color and maintains that color in drought and over the winter while I watch my neighbors’ grass lawns fade to Brown.

(Update!) Half or less germinated
Updated 26 May ‘26: the micro clover is thriving in most areas and super FLUFFY and soft! It’s not tall, but luscious! I also put it in my garden area to help with soil and water retention. I’m sharing photos of some of the same earlier places it was planted, and how it looks now. About halfish germinated. I decided to try this for some bald areas in my yard. I prepped the ground and made sure the seeds were covered back up after I spread them around. I took pictures when they started to come up, and again a few days ago. Some areas are doing better than others. I don’t know how much was eaten or just didn’t germinate. But about half or less actually came up.

Not mini
Grew well, but I think it is regular clover, not mini.

Pregerminated for ~2 Weeks , Sprouts in 3 Days
Pregerminated in a 25 micron mesh bag, immersed in a 2 gallons of wate, aerified with an aquarium pump for 10/14 days, including changing the water daily. Applied a thin drtt topcoat, then hand cast and raked lightly to spread evenly. Water-misted every couple of hours just enough to keep damp. Sprouted in 3, 75-85F days.
