Floating soap
Who writes an Ivory soap review? It's been around longer then I have and my own parents. I have a friend that visited a few times a year. I keep a nice selection of brand new goodies someone may have forgotten or simply just need. This one friend enjoys a bath. Doesn't like today's shower gel soaps in their array of greatness. Nope. Just Ivory. Why? It is the only soap that floats and always has. I was unaware. I couldn't find it locally. Of course, Amazon, was not going to let us down. If you want old school, very old school floating soap, look no further, Ivory has you covered. I now keep plenty on hand and have a feeling the littles might like it since it floats. This is what a silly soap review is. Ivory, it's safe, been around forever and floats.

A Product That Never Fails Expectations
Ivory Soap is a quality product that has delivered over the years. I grew up using it, I still use it now at age 70. Yes - there are a great deal of products out there that might compete, or possibly exceed, but why experiment when consistency is a driving reason for staying true to a particular product. I'm really happy with my skin. Ivory plays a key part. This 4 pack lasts me a while - that is great as well.

Great stain remover and gets rid of the yellowing on vintage garments!
My Mom actually turned me onto this particular bar soap for getting stains out of garments, no matter the color and so far it has really worked for me!It’s especially great for getting rid of old pit stains and any yellowing of white fabrics on vintage dresses. Here’s how I use the soap.I fill the tub with cold water and soak the garment. I rub the soap into the stained or yellowed portion for about 5 minutes, then I wash it out to see how bad the staining or yellowing still is. If it’s really bad, I rub soap into the stained area again, then I lift that portion out of the bath and place it on the edge so that the soap can fully dry out on it.After I let it dry for 2-5 hours, I rinse, and usually the armpit staining is gone, sometimes it takes a couple of tries with garments that have harsh yellowing from age.If it’s REALLY bad, I let the soap dry overnight then I rinse it out and 9 times out of 10 it looks like new! This works great on newer stains as well, though it does not work with rust stains, for that I use Rust Off.I recently used this on a dark teal vintage dress with a large yellowed white collar and it got all the yellowing out which I think is amazing considering the dress is over 60 years old.Another great thing about this is that it didn’t fade the teal of the dress! You do have to use cold water though. If you use hot, the colors may bleed or fade.I wouldn’t use this to wash my body because it leaves a film on the tub that I assume would be left on my body as well, which is why I took off a star. Also, after using it my hands are EXTRA dry which probably would not be a pleasant feeling on my entire body.🤷🏽♀️That said, it’s great as a stain remover, though the smell is a little strong for my taste.

So many uses for Ivory Soap!
I keep a good supply of Ivory soap on hand. Aside from the sink and shower, Ivory can be used to wash clothes, dishes or anything that requires a mild, gentle soap.

Only 3 bars… read the description. Great soap otherwise.
Make sure you realize this is only 3 bars of soap. I’m not sure if it’s deliberately ambiguous, but from the picture I somehow expected 6 bars, even though after careful review, it clearly says 3. Well I didn’t look closely and ended up spending $2 for each bar of soap, which is ridiculously expensive. Can’t blame the seller for my failure to shop carefully, so I didn’t return it. Also, I posted a pic that depicts the three bars of soap more accurately than the listing’s photo.
