My reciever stopped showing picture on tv so i used this to manouver around it to play sound to the reciever while i have picture from the device

Not what I needed so read for your own education so you don't make my mistake.
To be honest it is probably my fault but I write this review to let people know the function of this. I wanted it to be a splitter to have multiple monitors for my graphic design computer. It does not do that, it takes and basically mirrors the original monitor and does NOT extend the monitor. Oops my be but to be honest I think this as a seasoned computer professional should be able to see at a glance.Not functional for what I was trying to achieve.Signal I guess was good, picture quality as giod, it was easy to install once I knew what it was used for, it lives in the bone yard of unused computer parts so I can not tell you how it works long term. Value, I have to say sucked I paid the money for this and I actually needed 2 dollar part to add an adaptor to my computer. It appears built well however not sure because it is collecting dust 🤷♀️

Risk of burns
Works amazing. Until it makes your monitor flicker on and off and stops working. I thought I broke my monitor until I replaced it with an old TV and it sill didn't work. So I unplugged almost all of my cords trying to find the problem. I finally found it. (This product is the problem.) I tried to use it with a laptop and a monitor. Yet again it didn't work. I unplugged it to put it away suddenly it hurt to touch and my room smelled like smoke.

Better Quality than Expected
This little device was a game changer for us. I wasn't overly optimisitc for $7, but the device has great weight to it. It seems to be made of aluminum or other metal as opposed to plastic. We used it to sync two televisions so that we could watch the Olympics on two separate tvs without worrying about a delay. Can definitely see this coming in handy for football season!
