Foojoy Dim Sum Pu-erh Tea

First of all, I did not purchase this tea from Amazon, I got it from a local neighborhood Chinese superma，ket. $5 something for 100 tea bags. I opened a tea bag which contains basically tea dust and chrysanthemums dust, NOT whole piece of tea leaf or chrysanthemums flower. However, for tea dust it does not taste that bad; in fact the fragrance and taste of chrysanthemums comes through, though subtle. The Pu-Erh tea is definitely not the vintage type which tastes moldy, but decent enough to be called Pu-Erh tea. I normally make Pu-Erh chrysanthemums tea from scratch : dried chrysanthemums and loose Pu-Erh tea leaves. Working in the hospital with thermos in tow all day does not permit such luxury. I therefore settle for this inexpensive yet decent alternative.Perhaps Foojoy just uses good quality yet left over of Pu-Erh tea and chrysanthemums, finely chops it then packages into tea bags, and makes a profit. I am usually a fuzzy person when it comes to tea, but find this inexpensive tea bag surprisingly pleasing. Wish Foojoy would provide a sampler package for their various teas, I might find even more surprises.

I got this at my local Asian market for cheap. This is a pretty good everyday tea. The flavor is smooth, never bitter, and it seems more caffeinated than some other teas. I'm almost finished with the box and I plan to purchase more.
