This is an acceptable replacement for T-Gel, for those who need a stronger solution for dandruff, itchy scalp, and other scalp conditions. Personally it helps me with itchy scalp when I use it at least a couple of times a week.So does it smell like roses or ocean breezes or whatever? Nope, this is the "strong stuff" for people who have real scalp problems and are looking for an effective solution. Like T-Gel, there is a very strong and distinct smell that is not awesome but you get used to it over time. Personally I find the smell kind of odd, like something you will find in a car auto repair shop, but not bad enough to stop using it. The smell does seem to stick to your hair a little bit after its rinsed off but I don't think it's actually noticeable and kind of wears off throughout the day. At least we know they not loaded it with unnecessary fragrances that are going to irritate your scalp further.If you are concerned about the smell I would recommend this, although I really think the smell is not a big deal.1. put the coal tar shampoo in, focusing on getting it primarily onto your scalp, you don't need to put it on the ends all over your hair so just focus on the scalp where there are issues.2. leave for a couple of minutes3. rinse it out4. follow up with a shampoo or conditioner that actually smells good just on the bottom half of your hair (avoid the scalp) to "erase" the coal tar smellThis is what I do and it seems to work.

Amazing value price for the Anazone product which is exactly the same as ‘Name brand’. Except this cost is 1/10th what retail stores chrged. Great for clarifying hair for healthy hair. Does not dry out and is extremely effective.

This shampoo smells like a refinery, but that stubborn patch of flaky scalp improved after one use! I didn't leave it on for more than a minute and it still made a difference. I'll keep using it but even with thorough rinsing, I could smell it in my hair after my next wash with a normal shampoo. Just be prepared, use the exhaust fan, and follow with a good conditioner. The effectiveness is worth the odor. Way cheaper than a dermatologist visit for prescription creams & shampoos that haven't really worked. The bottle arrived with a seal under the cap. No leaks but best to remove that seal before you're in the shower with wet hands.

Excellent product that’s a perfect dupe for the outrageously priced original. My husband uses to control scalp issues and it makes a difference. It smells like coal tar so be aware there’s no masking perfume. But if it helps I say go for it!

Works well and makes my scalp feel better after every use. Hair remains soft and shiny.

This reeks - like amazingly bad. It deters all snuggles, kisses and hugs. Husband is using it in his beard. He says it helps with the itchiness, but he's sad to be sleeping in the guest room. It's a very small bottle but it seems to be lasting forever, much to my dismay.

This shampoo worked very well. Much better than any store-bought therapeutic shampoos.

Great value for the money, works great for scalp issues. The scent does disappear. So glad I bought it has truly helped my issues.
