Will these work for an Epson XP-520?

I'm not absolutely sure about your model. I have an Epson XP352 and these cartridges fit perfectly. Just follow all the instructions and once the printer recognizes a foreign cartridge you're fine. From then on...a cartridge can only be refilled and recognized once its completely emptied. Hope this helps.

Worked fine after first fill but after first refill of black cartridge printer will not accept it as full. Is there anything I'm missing?

1. Refill whenever you believe necessary. the ink level showed on printer make no sense. 2.ignore the "low ink" warning on printer, keep printing until printer stops due to cartridge fail(no ink). Then take out the failed cartridge, wait 5 seconds and install again. the chip will reset automatically and you will have cartridge shows "full".

How to reset a chip ? what is the steps ? i use epson xp-235

Only when the chip totally run out , then do chip resetting. If the printer only says " ink low " and the ink cartridge are empty, you can fill ink full, but at this time , can not do chip resetting, the printer will still say "ink low ", at this situation, just ignor that message, and continue to print until the chip can not be recognized. When the chip can not be recognized, we start to reset chip. Very easy to do : Take out the cartridge, and fill ink full again, after that, install the cartridge back, do printer self-checking, after 2-3 secouds, the chip data will be full again. When we do chip resetting, please keep the printer always turn on.
