Full of sass and fun like the original film.
I love a good graphic novel and vampires are kind of my thing, so when I saw that they were going to continue the Lost Boys story line with a book, I got all kinds of excited. I was given an ARC, but unfortunately, I forgot it would expire and it was no longer available when I went to read it. So, I broke down and bought this one and I’m happy to have it in my collection. The story follows the Frog brothers and the Emerson brothers as they once again do battle to destroy a vampire clutch from taking hold in Santa Carla, California – the murder capital of the world. They’ve destroyed Max and his minions, but a new female gang of bloodsuckers, called the Blood Belles, has moved in to take their place. With the help of an eccentric hunter known only as ‘The Believer,’ can our boys dispel the Belle’s evil plans and save the city? This novel had a great ‘80s nostalgia feel to it. The story is just as silly and scary as the original film, so if you were a fan then, you should enjoy this book. There’s a lot of great jokes to make you groan and of course the blood and gore you expect to find in a vampire story. Remember, the film was rated R and you’ll find the same language thrown into the graphic novel, so this is not a comic for kids. I, for one, love that there seem to be more and more comics being marketed to adults these days. Anyone who enjoys a good story can find a graphic series that speaks to them. The characters in this book really stick to the personalities they had in the film. The Frog brothers are still slightly ridiculous, Sam is still a scaredy cat, and Michael still has it bad for Star. Watching them all team up again was a lot of fun. Even the lesser characters are still there – grandpa Emerson, Lucy and Laddie, and the book leaves the story open for a lot more action to come. I will be watching for the next novel. If you’re a fan of ‘80s vampire flicks or vampire comics with sass, you’ll find yourself enjoying this one.4.5 out of 5 stars

This book is a very faithful follow up to the original film.
The Lost Boys has always been my favorite horror films growing up and thinking that it may get a proper sequel better than the straight to dvd films it spawned but this book takes the title of most faithful follow up. A true sequel at heart, The Lost Boys still has the heart, gore and hilarity as the original film and even has too much spunk. I loved it.

An Honest Review
The art kind of stank and I don't think the artist knew who he was basing the characters off of, and the story didn't exactly fit a lot of the characters, but ultimately, it was a heck of a lot of fun to read. It was amusing and adventurous, and isn't that the reason why you are buying it in the first place?

A good collection for fans
I gave it 4 stars mainly cause I love the lost boys moviea and I have been looking for the comics everywhere. Other than that the artwork isnt all that hot. The way the characters look look nothing like they look in the movie. Other than that it is a true collectors item for fans of the movie.

Meh.
My problem is not that they've continued the Lost Boys story... It's that it's like they didn't know the characters already existed for reference in writing and creating their appearances in the comic. I found the dialogue to be very unlike Sam, Edgar, Allen, Michael and co. The only reason this comic is getting a second star is for the hilarious inclusion and heroism attributed to "greasy sax man" Read comics 1 and 2 of 6 for his arc, anything else is a waste of energy.

Wow! Just wow!
This truly is a sequel to The Lost Boys. The Tribe was a joke. The Thirst wasn’t terrible but wasn’t anywhere near as good as this. I hope there’s more on the horizon!
