Had to change out my router after over a decade. I should have done so sooner! These have been amazing and easy to use. They have been stable, have a great range and the mesh system is a game changer! I bought refurbished and besides a great price they looked and worked as if new. Setup was so easy and the app walked you through the process. I used the same network name and the was a seamless transition for my old devices to jump on network.

My old Orbi set was wearing out and end of service was approaching. Purchased this updated set and the difference is evident. I have loved the convenience of the Orbi mesh system. Hopefully the new lasts as long as the first.

Total game changer! Easy to setup and Install. Works great. Looks clean. Has strong signal strength. The WiFi speed is great.

Nice works great fast

After having an Orbi extender in the past, when it finally wore out after many years, we thought just getting a new Orbi was a good choice. Boy were we wrong. The base unit does not have a way to hook up the house internet which only comes in on a coaxial cable. All the unit has is an ethernet port. Not to be deterred, we thought maybe we could use the old base unit, and just add the new extender. That is when we discovered the second roadblock; you need to download an app and install from your phone. We don't want an app on our phone. Still, trying to salvage the 1.5 hours already invested in installing this worthless unit, I installed on my phone. That still didn't solve the problem, now we need an administrator password, which the instructions indicate the default administrator password is: password. We tried that, only to receive an error message that it was the wrong password. Tried resetting the administrator password, nope, won't work either. Desperate and frustrated, thinking I had done something wrong installing the app on my phone, we tried it on a second phone. Same problem, need the administrator password, and, spoiler alert, the default password is NOT password. After 4 hours of trying to get this to connect, searching the internet, going to the Orbi site to get some assistance we gave up and decided to return it and buy a much cheaper solution. Unless you are an IT specialist, or know a 10 year old that is, I strongly recommend against this product. The website doesn't specify the connectors needed, and our previous unit had a port for a coaxial cable so we didn't have reason to believe this one wouldn't; the directions are very confusing, the included prompts are wrong and it is a very expensive way to spend 4 hours just to raise your blood pressure without a successful connection.

This device does its job. However, the mobile app is lack luster. Coming from other brands, and for the price that I paid for this; and may have to pay if I want to expand the system, it's not worth it. Internet also drops intermittently; even kids who are barely literate are able to explain to me the quality of service has changed since our replacement. I would not choose this brand again.

Our rbr 752 mesh system was getting to be several years old, I just happened to catch the good sale price for the RBK752P on Amazon and decided it was time to replace the original mesh as they do have a service life span and I would rather be ahead of the game. The setup was a bit of a challenge, the vpn we use kept blocking the new installation, best to disable the vpn if you use one...makes life easier. After that little bump in the road everything else went smooth, all of the devices in our house connected automatically as the same credentials were used for the new Orbi as the old, so no having to manually connect everything to the internet again. I have noticed that download speeds are better and more consistant than the aged original mesh system. Our house is around 3200 Sqft and the router and one satellite cover everything to include outdoor cameras. Being that the Orbi satellite from the old system is compatible with the new Orbi 752P it could be used as a 2nd satellite if needed for additional range. So, keep that in mind. The limited time sale price was very good and was the main driver in the decision to purchase. Our original Orbi RBR 752 mesh system was very reliable and I can't recall ever having to reset it during its many years of service. It will now go into storage as a backup if ever needed. If your internet speed is 1 Gig or less and up to 75 devices the Orbi RBK752P could be a good choice for your home.

The biggest thing to know —if tech isn’t your first language — you plug the main Orbi into your existing router box that’s plugged into the wall. The other Orbi is its “satellite” and helps the internet speed and connection on different floors or areas of the house. This is the WiFi part. This was the easiest home network system I’ve ever hooked up. I’m astounded signal strength is maintained everyone at max right now. The app made it super easy. Signal is FANTASTIC and we have a 4,000+ sq foot house. Only using 2 and strong from corner to corner. I got it all set up within an hour. I love being able to rename the network, label all the connected devices, and control my kid’s individual devices to limit screen time. There’s a pause button next to each connected device listed in the app. If you have a garage hooked to this network be sure to do the travel limits on the door after you change to the new network in your garage door opener app (it’s a safety feature) Then it will connect. This was the only hurdle I encountered. And found results with Reddit and a quick YouTube video. Netgear, I’m super happy so far. Thanks for making a solid product.
