This is the third such base I've owned. Hopefully this one lasts longer than the other two (of a different brand) that started having dead and flickering lights.I didn't need multiple colors or patterns, but if you do this base has them and comes with a remote to control everything. Nice and bright. The "White" doesn't seem quite as white as my previous bases but is still nice.My biggest annoyance is that I use smart outlets so I can easily use Alexa to turn on/off all my lights or various groups. This base does NOT work with smart outlets since it includes a rechargeable battery in it, so even if you turn off its outlet, it will stay on for a long time. You can ONLY turn it off with the remote or the hardware switch on the base. I didn't realize this when I bought it, but that's my fault as the description clearly states that it has a rechargeable battery. Strangely, it also has a battery compartment for regular batteries too.

I love all of the colors and the remote control is just a pleasant plus. I used it to place under a glass plate and show off all of my precious and semi precious gems.

Looks great, but the USB plug arrived broken. I’d like to get another plug. We’ll see about customer service, as then I’ll reconsider my rating.
