Home Office-Mustek iDocScan S20 Flatbed Duplex ADF Scanner

The scanner looks nice and accommodates all features needed. Unfortunately, it is technically very unreliable. Especially the automatic document feeder works very poor. I used this scanner for the last three month and it never scanned a stack of pages successfully, as it either pulls in several pages at once, which is fine if you recognize it, as you can scan the single pages again and use adobe acrobat to put them into the right spot, but at the beginning I didn't recognized that the scanner pulls in two pages about every third page and hence I lost those pages. Moreover, it gets an paper jam error about every second time I scan something, which is very annoying and pages are usually not scanned straight, so you always have to rotate them manually after scanning by 5 degree or so. I wouldn't care about the rotating issue, if the edges would be white, but unfortunately the background of the scanner is black, so if pages are scanned rotated (which they usually are), you always have black triangular edges around your document, hence the post-editing in adobe. This all was so much effort, that I decided to retire this device and bought a new one of a different brand.

I have used it 2 days ago. it only scans single side and not duplex as advertised. really disappointed and I cannot return it now
