This kit is good and works as advertised. HOWEVER, the TIMER'S CONNECTOR (where you connect to the water source) has a national pipe thread (NPT), not a garden hose thread (GHT). You will need to buy an adaptor in order to connect to your source of water. Forcing the timer's connector to your faucet (or hose) will damage the thread as it is made of plastic.

I just installed this unit, so here are my thoughts on it while they are fresh. First of all, this is a beginner system, and as such it is okay. The tubing and emitters are decent, as is the timer unit itself. The timer is simple and intuitive to program, however it is all plastic and I don't expect a long life from it. The hose bib connection on the emitter leaked like crazy until I removed the washer/screen combination and replaced it with two standard hose washers (no more leaks). Removing the screen also improved water flow to the emitters quite a bit. Unless you're using a dirty water source I'd say the screen isn't needed as any minor sediment will pass harmlessly through this system. I only found one emitter that didn't work so far, the rest of them adjusted easily enough and I was eventually able to adjust them to get decent flow throughout the system. All in all I'd say this is a decent way to get your feet wet (pun intented...lol) with drip irrigation. It comes with everything you'll need to get your plants watered fairly quickly. I'd recommend adding a vacuum breaker/backflow preventer (about $6 at any home improvement store or on here) to protect your potable water source, and warming the tubing ends in hot water for 20 seconds or so to make sliding it over the fittings easier.

Why do I keep buying this cheap crap from China? After spending about two hours installing this garbage, guess what?1. The water lines kept separating at the start of the system (nearest the faucet).2. No water but barely a trickle would get through after about 15 feet of line (yes, I'd reconnected the line).3. At the end of the line, ZERO water.Back in the bag - shipped back to Amazon for a refund. Can't get the time back, though.

This product is a great way to get started with a drip system. IT comes with a timer that will need to be replaced but is perfect to get started with. IT sets up easy and fast. My 15 year old set it up to water his tomato plants and it works great. This system will not last long but for a beginner it is a great and inexpensive way to get your feet wet. We set it up in the green house and in our flower beds. IT worked well in both places. I did have a problem with pieces missing but once seller was contacted they sent out the right pieces.

I’ve had various types of drip systems, set them up for friends and family and this was the most difficult yet. The problem is the timer. The connections are cheap and not well made. It leaked in so many different ways that I gave up. Do yourself a favor and order a decent timer and a kit without one.

I bought this because I wanted to keep my plants watered while on vacation. While it works, it only works for a very short distance. I couldn't get it to work on all my plants. So I have to figure something else out for them when I am gone.

After debating if this would work for me and some of my disabled friends to help with watering gave in and tried, I can say its definitely worth installing if you don't have tons of time to be standing around with a hose, was easy enough to set up only needed a pair of scissors to cut the tubing where I wanted a sprayer I did clip mine up with cable clips as zip ties aren't suitable for my garden or wise around young trees..
