EvolutionCC625 5/8-Inch Diameter x 1-Inch Depth of Cut Cyclone High Speed Steel Annular Cutter

Really happy with this cutter so far. Goes right through 1/2 mild steel plate with ease. No chatter, breakage, or exsesive run-out. Makes clean perfectly sized 5/8 holes. Beats the heck out of a twist drill, hole saw or cheap ctc. Be sure to run at the proper speed, feed preasure, and lube/oil. I've been running this in an large variable speed industrial drill press with an accusize adapter without issue. If you are looking to run one of these in a drill press you will need a morse taper to 3/4 weldon shank adapter.

Used this bit to drill a welding table. I have punched about 100 holes in 1/4 steel and the bit is cutting like new. I use proper cutting/cooling fluid and the bit stays cool cut after cut. Great cutter and good value for the money.

i bought 2 of these thinking that the process of drilling 315 holes on my fabrication table will consume both.. boy i was wrong, the bid cut like butter hole 1 until the very last hole 315.. very clean edge and the cutting edge remain sharp through out the whole process. the chip it makes it long like bird nest, just make sure to wear PPE when doing it and lube bottle on your Mag drill , it works very well for me to complete the job.

Thee bits work very well in my Mag drill very sharp and waste no time getting though the material being drilled. i would with out a doubt recommend these bits to friends and family or anyone else looking for a good quality Mag bit.

Cuts holes Like butter...

I used this cutter to make some one inch wide slots in a piece of hard maple, one inch thick. It cut through the wood so easily that it seemed I was blowing a pile of saw dust off the table. The walls of the holes I drilled were so finely finished that they appeared to have been polished and varnished already.

Having finally bit the bullet and procuring a mag-drill recently, I've been slowly buying annular cutters as the need arises. First few I bought were Jancy Sluggers, but I decided to give these a try as they are also highly rated and somewhat less expensive.I like that these come with the pins without having to dig through the listings, having the buy those separately is a pain (and typically pricey).I used the cutter I purchased to gang drill 1/2 plate (4x plates, so 2" at a time, and yes I got a 2" depth cutter). Cutter performed very well, no chips or even discoloration on any teeth even after drilling a total of 16" of steel. I did use cutting oil (and yes it's required if you're not familiar with machine tooling), nothing too specific, just the general purpose cutting oil I had on hand.Note: If you gang drill as I did, you will have to remove the slugs from each layer as you go, the last bit of the cut always stays on the slug and that will not cut when it's spinning in the hole, this is not a fault of the cutter, there's really no way to prevent this with annular cutters.I am quite pleased with these cutters and will be looking at more of these as I run into a need for them.

I bought this cutter to use with our new mag drill. Having little experience with annular cutters i bought this to see if they were more practical than traditional twist drill bits.This product arrived quickly and was put to work immediately. So far it has far exceeded my expectations for a ‘cheap’ annular cutter.We have drilled 400 holes in 1/2” mild steel and it still cuts almost as well as the first hole we cut. The price was active not all that great as I have since managed to source 5/8” annular cutters locally that are US made and are 5 dollars cheaper…. But in a pinch, or if there are no other available options, this cutter WILL do the work.

I have made about 40 holes in 3/16 mild steel and it is still cutting as if it were the first cut ie still very sharp. Very good value for the money. I use this with cutting fluid on a milling machine.

These are great cutters, crazy sharp, accurate and long lasting....well worth the asking price.

Good quality cutter! I cut over 500 holes in ¼" steel plate and tool stayed sharp!

Used with my mag drill to do 5/8 holes in half inch steel plate. 1 bit did 258 holes and is still sharp. Love these bits!
