I’ve been using dry shampoo for ages. I have a very greasy scalp so need to wash my hair every two days. With my hair thinning recently, I’ve been trying to cut back on how often I wash it. I’ve used all those famous bottled dry shampoo sprays in the past - you all know the famous one - and I never felt like they worked. Felt great as a refresher but didn’t do much for the grease. Plus I never really knew how bad those sprays were for health purposes until recently so I tossed all my sprays out in the trash and purchased this. Gave this a try and I am very pleased. The packaging does need to be better. As most have said, it’s easy to open this up and spill half the product. So be SUPER careful when you receive it and pay attention to what to open and what not to open. I apply mine right after my night shower. My hair is usually extra greasy after a hot shower with a shower cap. It doesn’t feel great as soon as I apply it - it’s a little sticky but by the next morning, my hair is a beautiful poofy mess again without the grease. I bought the dark brown or black color and it actually adds a little bit of volume too! I guess cause it’s hiding the thinning hair up top. It does slightly stain my fingers and hands but it washes out easy for me with soap and water. I haven’t noticed staining on my pillows but I mostly apply it up top to my hair, not anywhere on the back side. Please work on the packaging and this gets a 5 star from me! Photo shows my hair after product use. It was super stringy and gross before but I didn’t get a photo of that.

Ok so I feel like this does the job, but it is soooo messy. It’s hard to control the application with a leaky sponge applicator. And you cannot absolutely CANNOT touch your hair with this stuff in it for the rest of the day or your fingers will be BROWN. I went to the gym after work and had brown streaks running down my face.

Torn on this review because it’s definitely got its pros and cons. Pros: -great dry shampoo that does its job. -great as a compact for on-the-go. Cons: -Very messy, and no visible indication of which side to open (I accidentally opened the wrong side the first few times and that was a disaster) -last but not least, I touch my hair a lot whether it’s getting it out of my face or fluffing it up for volume throughout the day. This is not good at all for this product because it gets all over your hands and that is the reason for my two star deduction. Other than that, great product. I really like that it freshens up your roots well however I will likely opt for a different solution due to not wanting to wash my hands every time I touch my head :(.

To everyone worried about the container design and the product going everywhere, all of these people are using it wrong. It says in huge letters on the container DO NOT EVER OPEN UNLESS REFILLING. It’s like a new marker that starts out white until you tap it a bunch of time to get the ink to come through. You just keep tapping the pad on your skin and the product comes through the pad. It works great, covers the thinning parts of my scalp (see photos). I used to use a brown dry shampoo in addition to a scalp make up. Now I have both in one. The texture of my hair is still soft and less oily. My only complaint is when you rub it through your hair or touch your hair at all it heavily comes off on your fingers so you have to make sure to wash them and be cautious if you touch your hair throughout the day. It’s probably the worst one you’re initially rubbing it in and after that just try to stay away from your roots. But I kind of already got this from the spray brown dry shampoos anyway. It also matches the color of my hair perfectly.

I’ve tried every dry shampoo under the sun. I have super oily hair that barely lasts a day Every ‘for dark hair’ still left residue. But not this one! It essentially ‘matte-ifies’ my hair instantly without rubbing it in. I do use a lot more than 3-5 pats. An added bonus is that it doesn’t leave dust all over my bathroom floor like aerosols. Not sure how long it will last as it is small but overall I’m super impressed!

It looks so natural on my dark black hair. My hair is natural darkest hair. The product color matches well naturally on my hair color. Just slightly lighter but cant notice much. Just one thing, it s transferrable.. I rubbed with my finger few hours later I applied. My finger got color.. but if you dont touch, if you dont live in hot countries, or humidy area, there will be no problem I guess. I am living in dry area. So i guess it will ok. And I have no boyfriend, who might try to touch my head, so I am safe. :)

The applicator is why I initially bought it and it’s a great idea. However, the actual result is that it’s VERY messy and hard to clean up. Anytime I touch my hair my fingernails have powder beneath them and it leaves my hands feeling very gritty. If I sweat then it drips onto my forehead and leaves a dark dirt smear on my face. Also hair feels gritty and chalky.
