Works perfect for me
Okay yeah this is great. No issues at all for me. It's USB-C on the base to USB-A on the PC. The supplied cord is probably 7' long - which is a couple feet longer than I needed so that's perfect. I am using it in iRacing right now. Have not tried it on many games. It says you can set it up through steam. Will have to try that for Assetto Corsa because AC did not natively detect it through Content Manager. Rennsport however run through epic automatically detected it. Will update this review once I test it properly on steam but for now - 5 stars. Worth noting, iRacing will not let you use H-Shifter on cars that don't have an H-Shifter (you can still use sequential) but there were cars I wanted to use H and cannot. Not an issue with this device, just iRacing will not let you use it on cars that don't have h-shift ability - and that's a lot of cars on iRacing. Feels sturdy. I think I would have preferred 6-speed with R but 7-speed is okay too. Makes shifting into 3rd, 4th slightly more difficult and 5th much more difficult. Again not an issue with the product just the way 7-speed manual works. Oh and it's got a ball and a stick option. All metal. Very solid

This was a bad product, only lasted almost 2 months.
This shifter i received on May 1st 2026 and died today on July 30th 2026, it was not worth buying as the 4th shift gear started flickering and died a few seconds after, this was not worth it to buy as it cost $66.89 for something that barely lasted 2 months. Other pointers: Bad durability. Material on the shifter guide top is made out of metal and it was loud on shifting. You can also Feel the metal shavings come off on each shift. The precision of the shifts sometimes you could see going out of gear some times. Gameplay of it was bad as you an also feel the case twist quite a bit. Conclusion: I don't know but i feel like i wasted my money on this one sadly. If i could get a replacement i would change this review, but i wont put my hopes up...

Stopped displaying as USB game controller after first use.
The good: It is independent USB controller so you aren't stuck using paddle shifters from your wheel in a tractor trailer. It is very stout and clunky which I like, the thing is built like a tank. I have had no issues with the centering force, it goes back to neutral center well. HAL effect sensors and a magnet is embedded in the shifter shaft, I would watch the magnet to make sure it doesn't move, however, it seems very secure. It uses two roller bearings in a claw formation with a spring on the back of the claw when going into the gears top or bottom, the default spring is very tight (high level of tension), if your using it for Truck Sims (ATS/ETS2/Snow Runner/Expeditions) it's awesome, not so much for fast shifts on a racing sim, Not sure I would like it in Beam either, replacing the springs would help with faster shifts. I haven't noticed any metal on metal contact inside the mechanism, some type of insulation on the inside or outside of the container would likely tame most of the noise. Liked the shifter nob choices, the taller shift handle works better for ATS in my opinion, but I tried both. If I can get Windows to recognize it again I will spend some time on reducing the noise. The Bad: The method to make it a sequential shifter isn't great, however with a piece of thin plywood or sheet metal or a 3D printer you could fix this in minutes. Windows 11 is not currently recognizing it when I plug it in, it did the first time, after the first time I rebooted the PC it stopped working. I am still working this, I can see it has power, and windows sees the device just not as a game controller, I think its a driver issue, but its not looking good. As others reported its pretty loud during shifting, its a metal mechanism inside a metal box, so the clanki-ness echos off the inside of the metal container. Conclusion: The price isn't bad for what you get, but really depends on your intended use. It would be 1000% better if there was some level of insulation either inside or a cover around the metal case. Its a 5 star choice for Truck Sims, the clunkyness is awesome in this application. Its more of a 2/3 star choice for racing as it comes equipped. (A lighter set of springs included for changing this would again be a huge improvement.) This shifter is not a great choice for racing as it comes shipped, the mechanism is too slow and resistive to shifts to allow for racing style shifting (fast accurate shifts). Sequential shifting should come with a separate metal top plate for the pattern, which you could swap out, more expensive than the plastic gate that's included... but again it would make this 1000% better for that application. The mechanism for sequential shifting is OK, but could be way better, and with 5-10 minutes of tinkering you could make a much better solution, but the shifter retention mechanism would still slow shifting and make it clunky, which you don't want in rally/race games.

Great H-pattern Shifter, Sequental mode is available but unreliable.
This is a review of the CNRAQR 7+R H-pattern Gear Shifter with Clamp. I bought this because one of the youtube reviewers stated that it could be used as both an H-pattern shifter and a sequential. While I was never able to get the sequential mode to work reliably, the build quality, feel, and reliability of the H-pattern mode convinced me to replace my thrustmaster TH8S. I've been using it for 2 months and haven't had any issues other than the sequential mode not being reliable. So if you are looking for an H-pattern shifter, at a really reasonable price, I can highly recommend this one. But if you are looking to switch back and forth between H-pattern and sequential, you may want to look elsewhere. The Clamp is better than you would expect. If you clamp it to a table, the table will move before the clamp does. Very secure.

good
5 stars for what it is, obviously it don't compare to the real deal, but for the price it is amazing, a lil noisy, a lil cheap feeling, mostly noisy and also like not as tight, but with a couple of mods if would get very close to a moza or a fanatec one.

Sequential doesn't work, 7+R does work
Objective part: The 7+R manual mode works as described. Didn't have any issues with several games. The sequential mode did NOT work at all, with any games. From what I could see inside the gate, it looks like there are arms with bearings that are supposed to detect movement. The shifter with the sequential lock doesn't seem to go far enough to register, but this last bit is educated guesswork. Subjective: Giving this two starts out of 5, because it doesn't work 100% as described and it honestly does feel cheaply made. That said, if you want a budget 7+R shifter and are willing to accept that sequential won't work, then this actually isn't a bad option. I returned it because I am mainly looking for a sequential shifter and thought the 7+R was a nice also if I wanted to drive like that, but since it didn't work I sent it back.

Does what it says on the box, BUT is extremely loud.
It’s good !! You have the option to have two different gear knobs which I thought was a cool feature, it’s compatible with pretty much every game on pc, and is easy to use. The item is of high quality, and looks very sleek. I used it for a couple of weeks and it still works perfectly fine with no issues with durability, you can also adjust the style of shifter you want which I thought was cool. BUT the shifter is extremely loud and clunky which takes away from the realistic feel of the gearstick. You can’t really use it at night if you live with family as it would most definitely aggravate them. But if that’s not an issue I really recommend this product.

Sequential Mode does not work properly
Overall is a loud clunky H pattern gear box. You can gate in from 1st to 4th gear with ease, but very easily miss gear the 5th and 6th gear. In Sequential shift mode it only works with down shift. Should have purchase the TH8S instead of this :/
