I have purchased this many times for myself and given it as a gift as well. After a while it does get thick, which is kind of annoying. Apparently this company sells another product to thin it back out but it is probably just as economical to buy a new bottle. I love that you can use it on wet color and it dries very quickly. It gives your nails a really nice shine and it levels it's self out to give a perfect top to any polish. On my toes it stays nice for a couple of weeks but somehow I always chip my fingers within a day or two regardless of the product I use. For the price, this is a wonderful and very shiny top coat and I highly recommend it.

This stuff is great! I let my polish dry first for a few hours and then applied it. Looks perfect and three days later they are perfect, no chipping. I have heard some people apply it while polish is still wet but have had some wrinkling. The dry method worked for me.

Just received today. Put it over a nail polish that had been on about 4 days with minor nicks. I touched up, then applied this stuff, just as they say, a fairly thick coat. It dries quickly to a hard very shiny surface. Will update how durable after a few days.Update, still love this stuff, extends a home manicure to a week or more. Looks like gel. Make sure you use over a good base coat and quality nail polish. ILNP base and polish work great with this.

Painting my nails has been a hobby since I was a teen. I've tried a lot of products over the years, and Seche Vite has a well-earned position in my routine.Good to Know:- Strong smell - make sure you have good ventilation!- May have a learning curve!- Apply sooner than you think you should in comparison with other top coats; look up the "floating" application method.- For best results, use more than you think you need, because it shrinks a little as it dries.I love:- Its durable, shiny finish.- How fast it dries - I won't make any wild claims that its a one-minute dry (this is a lie in any product) but it is noticeably faster than competitors!I've purchased dozens of bottles over the years, and happy recommend to others!

I’ve been using this product for years and it’s the best top coat around. Fast drying and leaves a great shine. Highly recommend!

Excellent top coat, but a couple of issues - it SHRINKS up after drying and develops a hairline crack along the edge of the nail.Pros:Goes on smoothly.Evens out polish that is streaky (almost like magic)Dries fast.Thicker formula.Cons:Shrinks up after drying and does not cover the entire nail. Also develops a hairline crack in the nail polish.The only solution I've found is to overpaint the topcoat onto the edges of my skin around the nail and when it dries, it shrinks up but still covers the whole nail. If I only paint my nail where the polish is, it will shrink inwards and won't fully cover the full nail. Taking off a star because of the shrinkage. I have not figured out why it is developing the hairline crack or remedied that. It seems to happen 12-24 hours after painting.With that said, this is still one of the best, quick drying top coats I've purchased. It has gotten thicker since purchasing but I may be able to thin it out with polish thinner if it gets too gummy. Right now it is still a good consistency.

This stuff is magic. I prefer simple manicures - short nails, one color, so I see no reason not to do it myself at home. I haven't painted my nails once in the last 12 years without using this as the last step. I'm able to use a long-wear base coat, 2-3 coats of nail polish, and then Seche Vite Dry Fast Top coat, and within minutes, my nails are dry to the touch, but within about 5-10 minutes, the polish has dried to a hard finish. My manicure lasts at least 7 days without chipping with regular polish, and my nails stay healthy. I have found that it is best to use the top coat as quickly as possible after applying the last coat of color, so I usually apply my last coat of polish to one hand and then immediately follow with the Seche Vite top coat before applying the last color coat to my other hand. For years, my only complaint was that the top coat seemed to cause the polish to draw up on from the ends of my nails, however, I've found that if I paint the Seche Vite along the free edge of my nail, it prevents the irksome shrinkage. This is one product that I come back to over and over, and won't entertain trying anything else.
