Very sturdy and well made
This is a great access panel. I couldn’t figure out how to open it at first so I asked the seller and they responded almost immediately. (Use a flathead screwdriver to open).

Durable metal access door unit only fits a 9" between studs or larger opening
This was needed for an 9"between studs opening in drywall for plumbing access. This is very flush and will blend into wall once painted with wall color. I purchased another access door that was standard 16" stud spacing and like this look better as there is no raised lip and latch is flush rather then a raised "lock appearing" latch, so once painted it disappears virtually. The only thing that may be at issue is the door really is not removable so cuts down slightly on opening size of 8" where the other item that is larger has a sliding loaded hinge that allows door to be removed for full access of opening without for getting in way.Overall I am happy with it and if the door was removable easily would be perfect item but I would not deduct a star for that one thing.

The quality is really amazing. You can't beat the price.. Plastic is more at the hardware stores. Really easy to install in my opinion

Good quality, heavy duty access panel
I found this access panel overall excellent! It's a heavy gauge steel that is painted all over. The door has a strong hinge and the quarter-turn (with a screwdriver) lock holds it firmly closed, yet also is easy to open.I can't think of anything to suggest to make this an improved product. I'm quite happy with this purchase rather than a plastic one.

Excellent product - but check the rough opening!!
I was happily surprised by the heavy duty quality of this product. However, please look carefully at the description - it REQUIRES a 9x9" rough opening, which didn't work for me.

Quality product, easy to install; much better than cheaper plastic access panels
Installed these to provide access to bathtub/shower valve plumbing from closet wall behind. They are relatively flush with the wall surface, and are not too obtrusive. They close and lock tight with a flat head screwdriver. Durable powdercoat finish resists scratches

Wrong Dimensions on Diagram
The diagram on the product page showed the inside opening to be 8x8. The item I received was almost 9"-8 7/8" x 8 7/8" and didn't fit my opening.
