Major rf interference. Buy dual freq conv kit & works great. 4 strips & garage super bright
I had to downgrade my rating for these lights after installing simply because I love the brightness of them they are easy to install and everything however upon installing in my garage I realize that they cause radio frequency interference with my garage door opener and I could not open my garage with the door close. Now I was very sad that this did not work out the way that I planned it and use these lights basically unplugging them whenever I was not using them for about a year. Eventually I found the genie GIRUD - 1T dual frequency conversion kit for garage door opener and installed it and it seemed to have fixed the problem with in a big way. After installing the genie dual frequency conversion kit not only was I able to open my garage door with the lights on it also increased my range of their garage door opener to about 150 to about 300' depending on which remote I'm using. All in all these lights are awesome except for the fact that they are definitely causing radio interference. I may change them out in the future if need be for something that does not cause interference however they work just fine now with the garage door conversion kit. Would I buy again Maybe.

Get the 10 pack for a 2 car garage!
I have a 2 car garage with a lower than typical roof. I thought 10 lights would be too bright, but given the coverage I wanted and the low price I went ahead and got this pack of 10. I'm glad I did. Working in the shop is quite pleasant. No need to bring my flashlight or hook light everywhere I go. I can see everything without shadows. I put them in 2 rows of 4. All lights are going front to back of the garage. All lights are basically 4 feet from any other light in any direction. First row is a bit in front of where the car front bumper would be. Middle row is right in front of where the garage rests in the up position. The remaining two lights are in the corners above the open garage door, lined up between lights 1 and 2 or 3 and 4. This is the right amount of light, not too much.

Easy to install
Lights are easy to install, just hang and plug in. Previous comments about cords being less than advertised are correct, none were five foot. I surface mounted mine and had to make up short cords to wire in line. Included paper work said that the white wire was power line so I just made sure all my cords were made up so the polarized pin was always connected to polarized pin and had no problems. Great bright white light, brighter than the flourescent lights I was replacing. Good light for the money.

Good lights, poor mounting hardware
I have only had the lights for a short time, but so far they function as advertised. I have not had any issues with a humming noise at this time as stated in other reviews. However, the other reviews are correct about the mounting hardware, especially the jack-chain. The chain is not top quality and is pressed closed at each link, it does not take a lot of pressure on the chain to cause the links to open or separate. Overall, I really like the lights, they are bright as advertised, and I hope they last as long as stated. I will be purchasing more of these.

Look elsewhere,You get what you pay for
Might be good if you just need something over a work station BUTI have a 28x60 garage with a 13" ceiling.A couple years ago I pick up some Utilitech Pro Strip Shop Light from big box store and installed on one side of garage.LOVE THEM but no longer available. So I decided to finish the other half of garage with these.Ordered the 10 pack of the Linkable LED Utility Shop Light 4ft 4800 Lumens Super Bright 40W 5000K Daylight ,There are 6 Utilitech's on the left side and 7 of these on the right side. You get what you pay for,,,VERY cheaply made. NO WAY is it 5000K .More like 6000K Half my garage now has BLUE tint. NOT 4800 lumens,More like 38-4000 lumens I had them mounted to the ceiling(13' same as the other side of garage) but had to drop them down to 12' to get better light . (With doing that it looks like $H!# and when fans are on they will move .)Not enough light so I thought about getting more and doubling them up but decided I dont want the blue tint. Has a 1 second delay to turn on.RF interference. 6 hours to install these and remove the 3 T-8 HO Floro's which have 3 lamp each Total of 9 lamps compared to these LEDs which have 14 lamps in the 7 ABSOLUTELY HATE THESE LIGHTS.Update 9-15-19Couldn't take it anymore,,,dim and bue.Removed these and installed different leds, now Im happy..Will use these in attic and 6' high crawl space and a couple of sheds.

Lots of light!
I bought these lights for my basement workshop. I replaced the fluorescent lights I had in there. The amount of light I now have in there is amazing. I had the same number of fluorescent's originally, but there is no contest in the amount of light I now have. Easy to install. I attached them to the floor joists with screws. It was nice to be able to plug them into each other, it helped out with the placement. I ran the cords to my existing switched outlets in the ceiling. Perfect white light for this kind of space.

Great lights, but....
I bought these to replace old two bulb 8' T12 fixtures in my garage/shop. I swapped out one 8' fixture for two of these LED units. The lighting has improved immensely. I am impressed with output. Why only three stars ???? First the fixtures I received had been repackaged with signs they may have been tried and returned at some point. The tough nugget here is the amount of radio interference they create. It's a choice one must make....the lights or your AM radio. I suspect the contained transformers are not FCC compliant. My lights will remain installed and I will either find a FM station to my liking or an appropriate noise filter.

Great product and easy to install
Update: I contacted the seller about the defective light and within the next week the replacement had arrived. Excellent product and customer service.I ordered the 10 pack of these lights. They look great. They were very easy to install and came with plenty of hardware for different mounting options. The only reason for the 3 star review is the one of the lights was defective on arrival. I have contacted the seller for a replacement. As soon as this is squared away, I will update to 5 stars.
