Good, awkward to use
This isn’t bad by any means- it works and opens the can so that the top comes off with the side lip rather than opening inward where it’s a flat, sharper edge on the top piece removed- which is what I wanted. However, it was a little tricky to figure out and mine did not come with any instructions, although the item was wrapped up so I believe it was a new/unused item still. After figure out how to operate it, it works flawlessly except that it doesn’t “feel like” it is attached to the can when it’s in place to open. That probably sounds odd, but it feels like you need to keep trying to position it so I always stood there fidgeting with it when it was probably ready to go. Now that I’ve used it a lot I can tell by look if it’s positioned right, but still not by look. I don’t know why it bothers me, but it just makes it awkward to handle. It almost feels like something is missing that would make it sort of snap into place like a normal can opener. No one else in my house can use it and I doubt most guests could without messing with it forever, which is kind of funny, but not ideal. However for the price, it does work well and eliminates the sharp tops cutting through my recycling bags or having to worry about my little one grabbing at least.

Works with a little fiddling around with it.
It does work with some fiddling. The rim holding in the plate is too small and the plates will push through the ricer and lift up when pressing potatoes through, making it a hassle to use. The floating push plate doesn't lay flat when pushed all the way down. For the price I can put up with the inconvenience, but if you have the budget I would go for the more wedge shaped ricer that will give you more leverage.

It survived three months before it broke. I had been hoping for something sturdier.
