Strong long wood screws
Came as described good strong bolt screws. They were great for doing my main gates. Even got a socket with them.

Good but needed pilot hole
These are good quality but they won't self bore through 250mm in my experience.One review stated the wouldn't go through oak . I thought well no, but they should go through softwood no problem. We'll maybe 250mm through partially damp wood of any sort is an ask ? For the record I was using a top brand impact driver with the bit provided. It started well but wouldn't go home by 5cm or so . I drilled a 250mm pilot hole with a 5.5 bit and popped a bit of Fairy liquid along the screw. It then went in like a dream.

Needed these to fix decking problem. Had to go through 3 bits of wood.Worked a treat with no pilot hole i.e no splitting.Used them with an impact driver. Little socket lasted 10 seconds. Used a proper one and "Hey Presto!"One star taken off for socket, coz someone might have been relying on that.Really pleased with the result.
