Entrelac 2: New Techniques for Interlace Knitting

Photography is excellent, presented patterns are really attractive, but I couldn't find where or how those can be used in a normal garment, for instance 'Two-Color Stockinette Stitch Braid', Rubbed Medallion", that are new patterns for me. Summary I'd would like to give more information and at least one model to have a wider idea...

I admit that I don't have a huge amount of experience with entrelac, but when I flipped through this volume upon receipt, it blew my mind. Some of the ways that Rosemary Drysdale has come up with to do entrelac. All or most all of us are familiar with the standard entrelac, but included in this book are lace and ribbed, as well as beaded variations; circular and triangular entrelac; entrelac knit into star patterns; and even braided entrelac. So many ways that I had never considered before! For knitters who are completely new to entrelac, pick up Drysdale's prequel volume, Entrelac: The Essential Guide to Interlace Knitting , for a thorough introduction. You should feel very comfortable with picking up stitches, so if you've never done that before, get some practice before you try entrelac. Entrelac works best with either solids or with variegated yarn that has been dyed in long runs like gradient yarns, such as Wolltraum My Melodyy 4-ply and Kim Dyes Hand-Dyed Challah Fingering . Lovely book with good directions and lots of projects. My only question is that it doesn't rate the size yarn being used in the projects and doesn't use yarns available in my area. Includes directs for beginning entrelac knitters but has lots of ways to make it more fancy. I love entrelac knitting. It is a real challenge.

So easy to read what looks like such a complicated patter stitch. I love the book. The projects are beautiful. So glad I purchased.

I just got the book after doing a pre-order. It was worth the wait. Even though it repeats of how to do the stitches, it has some really great patterns which allows your talents of going to the next step of design. It's worth the wait!

I had already been taught to make an etrelac hat. I have already forgotten how I did it. This book is very clear and easy to understand. I am not starting a new item at the moment. That will come when I have the time. I really enjoyed this book.

I purchased Entrelac “The Essential Guide to Interlace Knitting” used and perfect condition! A slight corner tear but it didn’t hurt the book at all. Thank you for getting it to me so quickly!

un libro ed una guida indispensabili per chi ama i lavori ai ferri e la tecnica entrelac..ben fatto, ben spiegato..un libro imperdibile.. arrivato anche in anticipo sui tempi previsti..lo consiglio

Wer die Technik dieser Strickkunst erlernen will, ist mit diesem Buch gut bedient. Sehr enttäuschend aber sind die Strickmodelle, die der 2. Teil dieses Buches enthält. Man könnte doch mit dieser Technik umwerfend fantasievolle Pullis oder Kleider stricken! Was hier aber gezeigt wird ist über die Maßen langweilig, aber natürlich auch eine Herausfoderung für jede nunmehr mit dieser Technik vertraute Strickerin, diese Modelle mit eigener Inspiration und interessanter Farbigkeit zu toppen!
