I did a lot of research online for electric sit/stand desks. I wanted to save some money, but get something to fit my needs and budget.Before I even found a frame I also researched (real wood) desktops. Most of the less expensive desktops are filled with honeycombed cardboard or particle board. I found my GERTON desktop at IKEA for only $90. (Length: 61", Width: 29 1/2", Thickness: 1 1/8", and Max. load: 110 lb 4 oz) I really like the butcher block look. Someday I'll put a coat of clear poly urethane on it, but it's too hot in AZ right now!PROSThis frame was perfect, it had everything I was looking for and adjusted to the length I need it to. When I received the box I was surprised to see how well it was packed for such a heavy product. Each piece was placed in a foam cut out so as not to touch the other metal pieces. I ordered white and I have to say I was really amazed how good the paint job was. It also included an instruction manual, hardware, and the tools to put it together. This GT frame is super heavy duty and weighs around 60 plus lbs. That's a good thing as I found a lot of reviews saying other lighter and thinner frames swayed at their highest position. This frame will not do that. It also has duel motors, one in each leg, that help the desk lift up to 300 lbs! With duel motors you also don't have a mechanism going a cross the entire desk which means you can mount more under the desk. I also love the fact that the frame has two rails that cross the entire desk length to prevent the wood from sagging. It's also great to run wires and use zip ties to hold everything in place. It comes with a really nice controller with 4 programmable height memory settings. To top it all off the motors are very quite compared to some of the ones I tested at some of the retail stores.CONSYou may need help carrying this box and moving the desk if needed. The little white wire ties that come with the box don't stick well as seen in the pictures, but that's really minor as I ended up using my own zip ties on the frame rails.SUMMARYIn the end I think this was a great buy and I saved some money. A huge plus is being able to raise the desk to it's full height and run the wiring sitting in my chair. I am very pleased with the form and function of this GT desk frame.

Assembly wasn't too bad. That's the only knock. Other than that, the system way exceeded my expectations. It's really well built, the movement is very smooth and quiet, and the controls pretty intuitive. I'll update my review after a few months of usage. Generally, I'm a big believer in standing desks and for a little bit more you can do a proper standing desk that preserves the desk space. The conversion kits that sit on your desk - kill your working area (i.e. for papers) and makes the keyboard awkward.

A well-designed frame. Very sturdy. Quiet motors, quick operation, four programmable memory positions.Came well-packed, each piece in a separate slot in a foam matrix. Bolts and stuff were clearly marked, and it was easy to assemble following the instructions.Would buy again. It costs far lest than a similar item from a certain traditional office furniture brand, but the design and the build and the quality are as good.Oh, the controller label says "100-240V, 50-60Hz". That is, you can take this desk frame on a trip overseas. Convenient!

I am very pleased with this desk support and it has great strength and range. Exactly what I had hoped to have and its description was spot on.

Ive had this for over 6 months now and I've been pretty happy with it. No issues - it's sturdy - motors are strong - the height control works well and comes with good hardware.

Arrived 3 days back. The frame is very sturdy and is easy to assemble. Minimal sound when changing height. Great value compared to other popular ones in the market. Happy!

Love it no dislikes here. Still the day so we’ll see how long will it last.I specifically love the sturdiness. Not moving/swaying and solid as a rock.One small thing, i wish the middle piece have lines to know if it’s centered. I have to eyeball it.

I would buy this stand again without hesitation. The assembly was easy, it is very well built, is stable, sturdy and transitions quickly and smoothly. Very Nice Unit!
