The Rendlesham UFO Incident [DVD]

Rubbish !!!
I've studied the Rendleshem Incident and I thought this film would fill in a few gaps in my knowledge. This movie did the absolute opposite. In fact, by half way through, I became so annoyed with the three'actors' that I did'nt care what happened to them at the end.The constant jerky movment of the camera in a darkened forest gave me a headach. With the female character constantly screaming. That just about did it for me. So I turned the volume all the way down to zero. With this I managed to get to the end of this dreadful movie. Its a real pity because a lot of people are demanding answers to what is a massive cover-up. They will not find them here.

Rendlesham U.F.O. film. (No real footage).
Do not expect this to document the real events of late December 1980, which happened at an air base by Rendlesham Forest. There are no testimonies from the people who were involved in the actual incidents. The film shows a group who are originally hunting for gold at night. Their search has them entering land owned by the Ministry of Defence. What they end up finding is something they never expected. This is an interesting film for any fans of U.F.Os. and conspiracy theorists. The film has a run time of 83 minutes and is for D.V.D. zone 2 (which includes the United Kingdom and Europe). This film has been rated 15 by the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC).

NOT a documentary. Poor work of fiction.
I thought this was a contemporary documentary of the events of December 1980. I should have looked into greater detail prior to purchase. An appallingly desperate attempt to earn a few quid on the coat-tails of what was a serious and interesting account of unexplained events almost forty years ago. The story is pitiful and in a Blair Witch and Cloverfield-type home vid style account, smuggled out from the MoD no less, uses what is now a tired and predictable style in telling this utterly worthless tale.Save your money.

Low budget but good sci fi film
Based on the reports of a real life UFO sighting at an American airbase this film using fairly 'low fi' hand held camera work, 'found footage' and CGI nevertheless is interesting and well made. It features what was suposedly found by some metal detectorists at the now abandoned airbase and holds the viewer's attention well.

DVD -conspiracy theories
Well i grewup near there and was visiting at that time, oddly enough no-one mentioned it at the time, when I realised that this had happened near the Air base, I became interested as Suffolk is not the sort of place you expect this its very quiet and sleepy. But there again, Rendlesham Forest is quite creepy, You never know

Blair witch it isn't!!!
Having a interest in this case from the early 80's and living in Suffolk I was drawn to this film. The beginning pulls you in and the "Blair witch" style camera work is ok at first, adding to the tension build up and spooky music. The plot at the start is quite believable and intriguing, however I found myself about halfway through, struggling with the shaky camera shots and cut aways and ultimately I started to lose interest.I managed to watch until the end, which was a disappointing end to the film, all in all its ok but didn't hold my attention that well, shame.

Kind of worth a watch
The best thing about this rather strange film is Abbie Salt who is an absolute babe! Watching the film alone at night I expected to be scared but I wasn't, it tries to be creepy but doesn't really manage that. The best scene is where the trio see the lights in the clouds which gave me a feeling of the awesomeness of the UFO phenomenon. I have never seen one but I have no doubt that the real thing is awesome. Worth a watch if you've got nothing better to do one evening

These films are rarely great, so I didn't have high expectations
These films are rarely great, so I didn't have high expectations, but I thought the cover looked like it had potential so I was a little disappointed that it wasn't one of the better ones. It's ok though if you like these sort of films, you should know what to expect if you've watched a few, but if you're looking for a high quality hollywood film, then no, that it is not. It's a blair witch project type of film. 3 people go on adventure with camera. It's not even that scary. And I thought the ending was a little rubbish. I think it's a shame that somebody hasn't made a good film using the Rendlesham Forest Incident yet. In short, it's ok, just don't expect too much! I just think you need to be a lover of these types of films else you'll probably think it's rubbish. I hope this helps!
