Great vinyl album from Groove Armada
Haven't played the vinyl yet (it's a gift) but I already have this album on vinyl and it's fantastic. The vinyl track list is in a way better order than the CD /online album. On vinyl the tracks go from faster to softer. This is an album you can play from start to finish and be treated to GA at their best - different styles of music, sounds, fantastic singers. It's prob my fave GA album.

G.A. is back on track
This is now the 3rd G.A. CD I own, after Vertigo and Goodbye Country. I was disappointed in Goodbye Country, and am pleased to see that G.A. is back on track with Love Box. The tracks, while varied, are all excellent. "Cause I Feel Good" is a really upbeat ska-type song. "Remember" is classic G.A. - a beautiful melody, paired with the voice of a woman who sounds like "upper crust British". That, along with the occasional light piano, creates a truly beautiful, uplifting song. And that's what I love about G.A., how they can combine so many different elements, and somehow make it work. Other songs like "Purple Haze" make use of guitar work that's reminiscent of say Eddie Van Halen.... sort of hard rock sounding. I really love this CD, and am so glad I bought it. It reminds me of their Vertigo CD, insofar as it's very quality and diverse.

Groove is on
As an owner of all of Groove Armada's albums, I can safely say this is their best yet. If "Goodbye Country" was a left turn from the chilled-out style of "Vertigo", then "Lovebox" completes the U-turn. Now I think I know what Groove Armada was searching for when they made "Goodbye Country" (an enjoyable but non-cohesive album) - it's the style Rolling Stone dubbed "electrocrash", and it's amazing.Groove Armada's subtly layered tracks best most other electronic artists around these days. Where most groups hit you over the head with their beats, GA slides them in slowly, yet still makes you want to get up and dance. If you don't own this album yet, you should.Favorites:"Groove is on""Madder""Easy""Tuning In (rewritten)"

Finally, the 'Groove' is apparent
All three of Groove Armada's previous albums have been heavily based around well-produced laid back tunage, but this is a step into the more upbeat. The album is still brilliantly produced, and the music high quality, but this is something that clubbers will find more easy to dance to.Around three quarters of the tunes are deeply influenced by Chicago House or heavy breakbeats, bringing GA's reputation more into line with the quality live act that they really are.Highlights of the album include Madder, a house/hip hop hybrid with spine-tingling lyrics from MC MAD, and a chorus you can't help but sing-a-long to, alongside Be Careful What You Say, a deep house track fused with stuttering breakbeats that warm the cockles of the heart. This album, safe to say, has helped Andy Cato and Tom Findlay finally shake off their reputation as Coffee Table Fodder, and anybody who enjoys uptempo music with the slightest hint of chillout (See FC Kahuna), should be champing at the bit to buy it.
