Great quality BMS that works with IOS.
I ordered this product because I am an DIY'er I build my own batteries. Only draw back on this item was that I did not notice that it did not work with Android or Windows, Only IOS have access to Bluetooth settings of this BMS. When you are ordering make sure you read the description carefully.

So far so good
I've been using this to monitor and care for a 48V 220AH LiFePO4 battery I constructedfor the last eight months. It has worked perfectly so far, and has been very convenient with its bluetooth connectivity. (No need to open the battery compartment to monitor cell voltages) Almost all of the important parameters are configurable including but not limited to maximum charge & discharge rate, cell balance threshold, maximum cell and pack voltages, high and low temperature limits, etc. One word of caution though, if you have slightly mismatched cells, the 100ma balance current of this BMS will likely not be sufficient to keep your pack in the green. I found this out as I had 1/64 underperforming cell that needed to be exchanged. This isn't a fault of the BMS though, so no points off there. I'll likely use more of these when I expand my batter storage at a later date.

Bad app, no balancing.
I'm not sure why my previous review was taken down but I'll try again. The BMS hardware seems good but the programming is horrible, both the app and the PC software. The unit offers almost no effect balancing because it is only active while charging. It does appear to offer over current and over/under voltage protection. It often shuts down without any alarm shown. Reset in app is the only thing that will reactivate it. No support, at least by anyone that knows anything. Obviously they do not have qualified programmers.

Performs perfectly
Connected to the app instantly when you push the little button on the Bluetooth module. Could get right in and change the settings for my system no problem. Better instructions and an up to date “smart-programmable-active-capacitive- balancer/equalizer” would make it perfect. However Daly makes one of the most affordable, high current charge/discharge BMS’s you can buy, so you’ll just have to augment it with a third gen NEEY balancer if you want the best system you can own.

Waste of money
This BMS turns off at random. I'm using it to keep LION batteries charged that are connected to a charge controller for solar panels. Every time I try to hook up with Bluetooth it doesn't connect. I need to disconnect the BMS then reconnect to get it to run. Then I find the batteries in a partially discharged state. This has happened more than a dozen times This was a total waste of money. Too late to return it.

Has been a great BMS
Bought my first two 48v 16s Dalys in 2020 and never had a problem. Bought two (different brand) six months ago for additional battery packs and both have already failed. They have been replaced with Dalys and seem to be functioning great. The Bluetooth on the newer units is greatly improved, range is about 70 ft from battery shed in interior of house. As of now I will buy Daly only.

It pains me to write this negative review but read on to learn more why i feel its negative.
So let me start by saying this bms functions well does what its supposed to do well and what not. My gripe with it really comes down to not really much to do with the way it functions but rather with its design. Firstly lets start by saying this bms is big and by big i mean its atleast double to triple the size of an ant bms and in the worst way possible, its thickness. I posted on my facecbook about this issue and someone more knowledgable then me about battery tech told me the bms is big because the mosfets used in this bms are cheaper ones that heat up a lot and they add a ton of metal in the form of heat sinks to combat this but the problem with that is then the bms is releasing tons of that conducted heat into your battery pack if your sealing this into the battery pack and the fan doesnt help much with that either. The fact is this the ant bms uses much higher quality mosfets and therefore is much thinner because it doesnt have to worry as much about shedding tons of heat generated by cheap mosfets. That being said its easy to see why people choose daly sometimes over ant if you simply look at the two side by side the daly looks more impressive to someone that doesnt know much about this stuff yet while the ant looks like a cheap metal box basically but this is the furthest thing from the truth. My application for this bms was going to be a battery for my surron electric dirt bike but i cant use it for that because of its size which really i my fault for not making sure and chceeking that before buying. The surron has very little room to expand on battery capacity so using a bms that takes up more room then it really needs to do is not a option for me. The same guy that informed me about the downfalls of the design of the daly also suggested i can use the bms as part of my charging station solution which is a good idea but then i loose a lot of the safety features you get with running a bms and running no bms on a 72v 50+ah pack is a bit crazy to me and nerve wrecking. Im a bit hesistant to do that route but i really dont see me having any other option, i cant afford another bms and i already was trying to build this battery on a extremely low budget and already had to resort to using recycled cells which is something i didnt really want to do but dont really have a choice financially. Anyways back to the bms like i said at the start this bms does everything you want a bms to do and then some so if size isnt a issue its still a great solid option but if size of your battery packs is something you need to keep at minimum and the bms needs to be mounted to your battery then i suggest not going with this option and going with a ant bms instead like i wish i would have done now. I really wanted to like this daly bms as i have heard great things about them from the diy solar guys but it would make sense they would like these and the ebike guys wouldnt since diy solar guys dont usually have to worry too much about working with limited space.
