Good ready-to-use rat control kit
This is a good ready-to-use rat control kit and itโs useful having the bait boxes and refill blocks included together. The pre-baited boxes make it more straightforward than buying everything separately, especially if you want something you can put in place without much setup. Itโs suitable for indoor or outdoor use, which makes it practical for sheds, garages, gardens or other areas where rats may be a problem. The extra 300g of refill blocks is also handy, as it means the kit can be topped up when needed. As with any rat poison, it does need to be used carefully and kept well away from children, pets and non-target animals. Overall, a practical kit for dealing with a rat issue.

Ideal
I put 2 bait boxes in cellar and put 5 blocks in each, checked each day and had to refill ended up using 25 blocks over 4 days they took the stuff right away, says it takes 3/4 days and takes it back to its nest (which I'm glad I never seen any) and sure enough after that time there's been no activity, would recommend

quality kit
having recently had some of our rodent friends decide it would be good to come into the conservatory, decided it was finally time to act having four large dogs that have previously killed rats, and the resident red kites buzzing about, the need for boxes and Difenacoum / Bromadiolone based poison was a bit of a must, as although not the most lethal poison, it carries far less risk of secondary poisoning over Brodifacoum based products.... products arrived, well packed, complete with a couple of keys, warning stickers for the boxes and a couple of info leaflets... after donning a pair of nitrile gloves (unfortunately none in this pack), I bated the boxes and placed strategically in a couple of areas where I have seen rats running, unlike some other boxes, the grain holders in these are fixed (far better) and can also be extended to carry 500gr of grain bait with the use of the included divider... I chose to fill both side pods with grain and to stick 3-4 packs of the pasta on the metal rod (note: do not remove the pasta from its little cloth / paper bag) and waited.... I was also aware that the rats had taken up residency in the block built shed, as they had actually chewed through the wooden door frame to get in (did not touch the newer door which I treated with real, old fashioned creosote)... I placed a largish screw into the inside of the door frame just above the hole they had made and retreated.... popping into the shed a couple of hours later, the two pasta bags had been split open and contents removed, so I re-baited.. the next time they actually took the whole sachet, not just the paste... during the course of a week, they freely took pasta sachets and grain bait placed in a small tray within the shed, then literally overnight they stopped feeding... the same day I found 3 dead rats without even making a concerted effort around the shed area, once it dires out a bit after dear storm Callum I will strip the shed and find where they were nesting, yes I had seen very young babies prior to baiting, .... so, off to check the boxes, one near the shed had no pasta left and the grain had been partially taken, the other further up the garden not touched, this has been moved to a different area and will be checked again in a week... since finding the bodies, I have not seen any rat movement at all near the shed or house, and only one or two at the far end of the garden, so the population has been affected... as a note, I bought some other poison from another supplier, and a couple of boxes (yes it is a largish garden, and does have a small stable block with overgrown small paddock to the rear, previous owner kept ponies, I use the stables for storage)... I went to bait up around the stable area using the other suppliers boxes, these IMO are not as good as the ones supplied in this kit, they do not feel as solid, have a smaller rod / baiting area and the bait tray is a thin plastic thing that can easily be moved / tipped inside

Worked within 12 hours
After 4 years of using humain mouse traps and setting them free about 30 years ball they didnโt learn it wasnโt a good place to set up home they returned for the last time when not only could we hear them running around in the sitting room ceiling but also in the attic above our bedroom .. not a pleasant thing to do but we had too much up there to be damaged including wires โฆ 1st night not a sound anywhere to be had and none since very sad donโt like killing anything but enough was enough they had enough chances โฆworked within 12 hours very easy to use I wore rubber gloves to set up โฆ sadly would recommend

If only the neighbours were as easy to get rid of
I got new neighbours last year, who promptly built an enormous bird coop in their tiny back yard & filled it with at least 40 pigeons. They throw food on the ground morning & night & never clean. It stinks my garden out to the point where it's unpleasant to be out there & then I found I had a rat infestation such that I could go outside any time of the day & see 2 or 3 at once & hear more scurrying. I'm too scared of my neighbours to say anything ( I tried when they 1st moved the pigeons in, but was told in no uncertain terms to mind my own business). I should report them to the council, but they'll know it was me & I'm afraid of what revenge they'll take. So I bought these rat traps instead & they worked a treat! Found 7 dead in the garden in the last week. Haven't seen or heard a rat in days. They'll be back because the pigeons are still there, but I'll just buy more bait then.

Not sure if this works as it caught no rats, but the rodents are certainly disappeared. Leaving in London next to the Thames the whole area is rat infested. Horrible, like in the Middle Ages. I have two of these in my kitchen / living room near the bin and at the bottom of the stove and it seem to do the trick. I am scared of rats and when I first saw them I was shocked. Recommend

Great
First time user. Easy to use highly effective. We didn't know we had rodents in the garden until we realised some had eaten the bait! We'd hears neighbours had rodents in the garden so only bought as a preventative measure. So grateful to this company for easy purchase that's easy to use!

A safe way to control vermin
The Roshield box provides a secure container for the poison blocks, making it very difficult for the rodent to remove the bait and greatly reducing the likelihood of a significant quantity of the poison being picked up by other animals, provided that the instructions are followed. A simple but effective locking system prevents the box from being opened by unauthorised persons or dogs. The red bait blocks are effective once the rodent has accepted the setup which can take a few days. I have always found this system to be effective against rats. I always continue to bait the box until no more is taken for a week, then check monthly. Rats are never far away and will revisit old runs in their constant search for food. I recommend this Roshield kit without any reservation. Unchecked rat populations are a serious threat to health.
