Special Agent OSO - Whirly Bird

If your kid loves the Disney Special Agent Oso show, this toy's a no-brainer. Really nicely designed, Whirly Bird looks exactly like he does in the show. The sound effects and dialogue from Oso and Whirly Bird are great (Whirly even says "Happy landings" when ejecting Oso) - but even better for grown-ups is that there's an off switch!!! The magnetized grappling hook is a great touch as well.The best part of the toy is the fact that Whirly Bird can eject Oso out of the cockpit, just like the show. My son had to show me how to do it though - it's kind of tricky. You have to make sure the seat "clicks" into place, and then you have to make sure Oso's sitting (not standing) in the cockpit. Then when opening the cockpit, the bottom has to hit the white plastic "trigger" near Whirly Bird's neck. It's all very simple for a 5 year old, but it took me a couple triers to get it right!Overall this is they best Oso toy I've seen - though my son loves the car, too. Can't wait to see the Rapide toy!!!

I purcahsed Special Agent Oso - Whirly Bird and two other Special Agent Oso toys for my son's 3rd birthday and Christmas. Was very dissatisfied that just after opening the unit the retractable string did not retract and the cockpit seat jettison stayed in the down position. I am going to request another one and my rating of "1" star will remain until this unit is replaced with one thats works. Whirly Bird has now been replaced and all is good. The main rotor spins and retracts OSO. The cockpit now jettison OSO. I have upgraded my experience to "5" stars...

My son just got this toy for christmas and he loves it. He loves the show, He is only 2, but identified whirly bird immediately. he has dropped it several times and it hast broken yet. if your child is an Oso fan, then you need this toy. and the anchcor part really picks Oso up, just like the cartoon...

My 4 year old grandson was so pleased with this toy as they cant be purchased in the UK and he loves watching OSO.He opened it on christmas morning and the only thing that worked was the winch underneath that winches OSO up to the whirlybird. It is supposed to eject him from the seat. do sayings and the rotor on top is supposed to go round. None of this worked. My son in law took the screws out and looked inside and there is a cog which was off and once this is put back on it works but only for a short time and then it falls off again. It is obviously a design fault . Would not buy anything like this gain even though I buy many things from Amazon in the UK. Special Agent OSO - Whirly Bird

I bought this for my 3 year old son for Christmas 2010. We had seen it at Target and he loved it as he enjoys the show on TV. I decided to buy it from here though because I do most of my Christmas shopping online here and from other sites. When the toy came, I wrapped it up right away. On Christmas morning we discovered that the magnet did not work on the toy (The hook was unable to hold Oso) and the pull string was also not working. I was pretty disappointed. My 3 year old didn't know any better so he wasn't worried about it.We ended up buying another one from Target and that one also had issues! These toys seem to be poorly built. I would not buy again.

My kids love special agent oso and whirly bird. The durabiliy of the toy however is very poor. When we opened the package, the part that springs oso from his chair did not work. After 2 days the mechanism inside whirly bird that reels in the rope quit working as well.

This toy is an absolute must have for any special agent Oso fan. My son received this as a gift for his second birthday and has played with it on a daily basis ever since. He is 3 1/2 years old now and after a year and a half of constant play, it was pretty worn out. I finally just broke down and bought him a new one. He was very excited to get a new fully functioning one. It's reasonably priced and worth every penny given how much enjoyment my son has gotten out of it.

I don't have anything bad to say about this toy that I purchased for my three year old little boy for Christmas. I wished I would have had it recorded when he seen it! He screamed "MOM I GOT WHIRLY BIRD AND OSO" cutest thing ever. I am very please on how simple it is to work, and the fact that like Whirly does on the show ... Whirly will throw OSO out. My son laughed and laughed about that. I would say it is a must have if you have a OSO fan in your house!
