Wow! Very Pleasantly Surprised 12V No problem!
I've ordered a few of these little modules here and there. Every time I've bought some, they are the 3-6V max input. Anything over that and those would fry. Well... What a pleasant surprise that these can handle up to 12 volts. I didn't believe it until I tried it out. These two pics show my little bench power supply driving the module at 12 volts with ease, pushing nearly 4 amps. The ark is quite intense and loud enough to make you want to cover your ears. Mine are still ringing from 10 minutes ago.So yeah.... a great deal for 10 of these. The only thing you have to seriously watch out for besides getting bit (IT HURTS, I PROMISE) is, do not run them with the secondary completely open. Determine the max gap the spark can handle and do not exceed that or they will fry quickly. Also, do not exceed the 12 volts or it will shorten their life, if not fry it immediately. That's it. be careful. They pack a punch. But if you play it safe, there's plenty of interesting things you can do with these.

50% DOA
Half of them DOA (dead on arrival). The ones that worked, worked fine. Otherwise, pay your money, take your chances.

Don't exceed 6 Volts!
4 modules dead already. 1 was dead on arrival. second one fried on 6 volts after running for 5 seconds. And 2 more fried instantly on 10 and 12 volts. They work nice WHEN they work.. But 6 volts, short gap (No more than 1, or it can fry the module), and only short bursts seems like the most these can handle.
