737 NG 600/700 Add-on for Flight Simulator 2002/04 (PC)

i-Fly 737 NG (FS2004) (PC CD)I have had this game for a few years now.. despite having over 20 different aircraft add-ons it is still a favourite. It is even better when undated from the PMDG website with the new 800 and 900 series add-on. However despite it awesome graphics and brilliant sound, it has been well and truly stripped of its crown by IFY with their new 737 NG. If you want a truly realistic 737 add on of either FS 2004 or FSX then IFLY 737 is definitely the 1 to buy. Loads of support for those die hard FS 2004 fans where i feel PMDG have forgotten about FS 2004 and have chosen to push with more games and support for FSX...which still has its own bugs and problems. However this is still a brilliant game which is why i have written a review but if its realism you want check out IFY 737 NG

The first impression this add-on gives is one of amazement as you stare at the perfectly modeled exterior and cockpit. Both 2d and 3d cockpits are recreated almost switch-for-switch, and coupled with the awesome sound, you get a real sensation of being there.Once finished admiring the graphics, you start realising that all the switches and everything else looks very complicated. This is a very detailed simulation, and whereas its easy to just 'fly', it takes a lot more to know where your going. Time to get out the two book they call a manual.After learning what all the switches did, I took a look at the Flight Management Computer. A simulation in its own right, the FMC does come very close to the real thing, and can manage every aspect of your flight. It is very helpful, but also takes a while to learn, indeed it comes with its own manual.Overall, if you have the time to learn how to use this simulation, as well as a fast computer, I can see absolutly no way you could possibly be disapointed with this.

The 737 NG (Next Generation) flight sim add-on is GREAT! However, I have experienced a "stutter" effect in frame rates and I have a Pentium 4 2.8GHz PC. Perhaps I have too many flight sim add ons installed. The graphics are great but take a few seconds to refresh now and then, when changing scenes from cockpit to virtual cockpit to bird's eye view. Sound effects and details are pretty much BANG ON! I know because I fly as a passenger frequently. Oh Yeah! BUY IT! It is worth the money and you will get some less well known Airline Liveries from commuter and no frill actual airlines that are giving the Big Names a Run For Their Money.

This aircraft is great, the sound set is great. The cockpit and virtual cabin are bang on! Comes with a great FMC which will lower your workload, comes with loads of highly detailed add-on liveries and you could download hundreds more from the PMDG website. Model is highly detailed and flight dynamics are very realistic indeed. I highly recommend this.
