Too tight or too loose for Keds
Like the idea but they did not work with with Keds - way too tight on a womans size 8 worn regularly,, and the loose configuration is too loose and i didnt like the look of leaving one hole empty! Maybe they would be better for more athletic shoes, but As is there are marks on my feet from how tight it is.

Great idea, decent execution. Has it's ups and downs.
Definitely a cool idea with a cool look! The things these do for or to your shoes will be the reasons you like or dislike them.I'll get into that in a second but I'll just say that these don't feel that versatile or as durable as a regular shoe lace isand getting them setup the first time definitely takes more time than lacing up shoes.Basically, it's a bit of a struggle to get these on right. You want a consistent look and feel but often have to compromise somewhere on oneor more of the eyelets. Once you do get that figured out, if it's possible to on your specific shoes, you may or may not like the fact thatit will increase the amount of flex in your shoe.Casual walking shoes? Maybe you won't mind or notice, might even appreciate it. But shoes for running? I think it's questionable. Could go either way. But you certainly wouldn't wear these for some "real" tennis shoes being used for tennis. Regular laces really lock your foot into place on a tennis shoe and losing that lock-in feel really becomes a hazard or discomfort with some shoes. So the question, which is kind of hard to answer without trying for yourself, is; Will these work for me?You can really dial in the feel of laces to be just where you want or need them. Can't really do that with these. The side effects will be more noticeable to some than others and more appreciated or disliked by some more than others. All I'm guaranteeing is that they will add flex to your shoe. You might feel the shoe move with your foot less, because these laces will give and allow your foot to move out from the foot-bed of the shoe a bit. But if your shoe is flexible like a traditional running or walking shoe, or you're really just looking to make any shoe a slip on, I say give these a try. You might really like them if they work on your shoe!

Good functionality. Bad aesthetics.
I really like the fit that these give, but they are pretty ugly. I wish they'd give them a cleaner, flatter look. I'm attaching some pics. The top "lace" is a competitor brand. You can see how the Hickies pooch in some areas and crossing them doesn't work well because of the button in the middle. They are more expensive than competitors as well. None of them that I've found handle "loops" very well (as opposed to the traditional holes for the laces to go through). Seems like most athletic shoes have at least a couple of them these days. (See aqua loops in pics.)**Update** After a while, these stretch and start popping open. I got tired of them and swapped them out for some elastic lock laces.

I am disappointed by these
I am disappointed by these. I thought I had found a solution for my 5 year old son, who wants to put his own shoes on, but has not yet mastered tying his own shoes. He was getting very frustrated trying to tie traditional shoelaces, so I decided not to push the issue. However, he also didn't want my help tying them, which was leading to a lot of drama before school. I purchased cheap shoelace replacement spirals from my local shoe store. My son loved them, but they were kind of goofy looking, and only lasted for a couple of weeks before falling apart. I remembered hearing about Hickies, and they seemed like a much better product. When I went to put the hickies on his shoes, they were far too loose...so I followed the instructions for the tighter fit by criss-crossing two hickies. That seemed to solve the issue, and both my son and I were excited to have something that looked good and would save a lot of time in the mornings. They lasted for THREE DAYS before two of them broke. I replaced them, and then one of the replacements broke too. I am more than a little annoyed since these were pretty expensive for shoelaces! We are very disappointed.

Good Concept, Works OK At First... Eventually, They WILL Fail...
They were just OK. I've had mine for a few months now. When I first put them on my shoes, it was tough finding a configuration that worked for my 13EEE feet. Once I did, everyday use was tough. I had to constantly remind myself not to cross my legs and rest one foot on top of the other, as that rubbing of my heel across the Hickies laces would easily cause them to disengage. One of the most frustrating things I dealt with was putting them onto my shoes... having them cause the tongue of my shoe to fold on itself before I put my shoe on, making putting the shoe on MUCH MORE DIFFICULT... then finally getting the shoe on, only to stand up and hear a snap, and knowing that snap meant at least one of the Hickies laces had disengaged from the stress of my foot when o stood up... and I had to start all over again. They also break quote easily.I will NEVER buy these again and I recommend nobody else does. Money wasted.

Bought these in November 2016 and would have easily given them 4 or 5 stars back then
Bought these in November 2016 and would have easily given them 4 or 5 stars back then. Fast forward to April 2017 (5 months later), I have now broken 2 through normal uses and the two that broke weren't even the ones that were stretched the farthest. What a disappointment. I'm not hard on my shoes either. I can't remember the last time that I had to replace shoe laces because one broke. At $15 a pair, I'll never buy again if I can expect to start replacing them at less than 6 months of use. I feel a bit cheated.

Mens size 11 trainers, they fit!
It took a while to find a lacing arrangement to get a good fit.I'm a UK size 11 (US 11.5) using Hickies on a pair of trainers. Lacing using "normal" and I couldn't get my foot into the shoe. I looked on the Hickies site for lacing tips. Using a mix of "normal" by the toe and Lose for the middle and top gives a good fit. It is a bit tricky getting your foot in but they feel comfortable now. I'm giving this a 4-star rating because I have only just got the laces and I have no idea how well they will be over time. There are many reviews on here saying that they break, I have no idea how long they will last.

Love them!
Use these on mine & my sons trainers & they are a god send! My son has sensory issues & will only wear Velcro shoes, as he’s now going into adult sizes Velcro is hard to come by. These have made the world of difference & he’s finally in laces trainers. I use them on my running shoes & so easy now to pop them on & off so very pleased!

Fantastic, highly recommend
After trying to lace them in several different styles (loads of suggestions online for varying tightness) I found these to be one of the best things ever invented! No more stopping to tie a lace, stopping to tuck in a stray lace, too tight, too loose......no more! These are easy to get my trainers on and off, they are flexible and move with your feet as needed, they are just fantastic! Highly recommend, especially if you do sports, or have children - these would be great for kids . Ive bought 3 pairs so far in different colours for my most used trainers and will defo be buying more

Not quite as brilliant as I’d hoped.
I really like this concept and it does make it easier to slip my trainers on and off. However, despite threading these in a couple of different ways, I can’t seem to get the right tension evenly up my foot. Im therefore disappointed to have spent £13 on something that doesn’t work as well as a traditional lace for me.

Great Product
I’ve been a big fan of these for a while now, I’ve had them on my golf shoes for a while, and recently got some more for my casual shoes. They’re great and really convenient.
