The KOALA READERS special extended temple arms allow you to hang your readers around your neck comfortably without that annoying lanyard. You simply slide the readers on or off your neck or you can place it on the top of your head without messing up your hair. When reading, wear it like any other regular reading glasses. Our temples are SOFT TOUCH coated for flexibility and suppleness yet secure around your neck, top of your head or on your nose.

I really like these glasses
Reading glasses are hit or miss. You can't have too many (even though they all seem to congregate in the same places in the house, instead of spreading out where you need them) and the quality of the cheap ones can really be disappointing. Not these. The frames have a rubber coating that keeps them on and in place, the neck grabbing thing is convenient until you realize you look like an old person wearing them like that. Better than the gold chain around your neck but not by much. The lenses are good, vision is even and clear looking left and right, up and down, etc. What else do we need from reading glasses?

Excellent readers
For a long while I've been buying those economical reading glasses by the bundle. I would spread them all over the house and at work. They were not of high quality nor were they durable and, they were constantly being misplaced (I should say lost). The Koala reading glasses are very lightweight, as most reading glasses are, however, you can slide them around your neck without requiring a tether when not needed, so, you'll always have them with you. Unfortunately, when you have it around your neck, and, you need to read something, you'll forget that they're there, so you're constantly looking around where you last placed them. I would ask my work associates where my reading glasses are and they would point at me, duh. Okay, so, I'm buying another one to keep at home.

The constant pressure from these glasses left dents in my skull...
I am serious. I loved these glasses. Especially the way they hang around my neck. But, I have had them now for about 5 months. I wear them at least 10-12 hours a day. One long day of wearing... they started to bug me and I was rubbing behind my ears and found two serious indentations in my skull from the ear pieces. I guess the constant pressure every day, for hours... even though you don't feel it... was pushing against my skull and leaving indentations that are the exact shape of the ends of the ear pieces. The reason is that these ear pieces have alot of pressure so they can close behind your neck when you want to let them hang. I don't know what sort of damage this could be causing. But, I don't want to take a chance. I have decided to throw these away as the return window is closed. Also... the printing of the power on the lens can be an issue as well. I have read that your eye will intermitently focus on that over and over again. I also don't think that can be good for your eyes.

If good customer appreciation means anything to you QUANTUM VISION OPTICS is the best!
I tried a pair of the Koala's liking the longer temples. But the most important thing about good quality readers is the optics. QUANTUM VISION OPTICS/Koala's first priority is great lenses. If you have a problem with the glasses send the company a e-mail. They appreciate their customers. Great quality glasses, from a great company. Amazon should be proud to carry such a good product.

I would not recommend that these be purchased for use for anyone
DO NOT BUY!!! I got two pair of these glasses on March 2nd, 2018 and my first review was a "5," but on August 13th, 2018 the frame on both of them broke on the bottom, left side in the very same place and obviously the lens came out. There apparently is a "design flaw" in them, therefore, the plastic is not very strong or durable. I would not recommend that these be purchased for use for anyone.

I'm starry eyed about these glasses
I couldn't quite believe these frames would (A) fit well and (B) actually hang securely and comfortably around my neck, but the idea was so appealing, I bought them anyway. They are exactly as described! Despite being made in China, they seem substantial, fit exceptionally comfortably, and they really stay around my neck. They're so light, it is easy to forget about them. At some point, I wonder where I have set them down--only to remember I am wearing them. It's so liberating to have my glasses at my finger tips!

The glasses themselves are fine. They are very lightweight and comfortable
I wish I had read the statement in the description..."Reading Power is secretly laser-etched on the left lens. To see the power, hold the readers up to a light." LOL! You can see the etched reading power plain as day. I can read +1.75 on the lens without wearing another pair of glasses! Why not etch it on the inside of the arm where it would be more discreet? Do I need people to whom I'm speaking to see that I wear +1.75 readers? The glasses themselves are fine. They are very lightweight and comfortable. The curved arms work to keep the glasses on if you bend your head down or lean over. I will use them at home, but not at the office!

Frame seems to have a weak spot
I have purchased 2 pair of the Koala glasses in the past 5 months after a recommendation from a friend. Both pair have broken, see photo, almost in the exact same location. One would think that readers that are designed to be flexible to go around your neck when not wearing would be able to take the pressure of taking them on and off regularly without breaking. When they aren’t broken they are a great pair of readers, very comfortable and the magnification is perfect. But when they break, we’ll, they are pretty useless. Not sure if anyone else has had a similar problem, not sure if this is a design flaw. Would love to hear from the manufacturer and possibly update my review after their feedback. For right now I’m holding off on buying yet another pair.
