There are very well made. They’re not the cheaply made fixtures you get at big box stores. All cast aluminum housing. They put out a good amount of light. If you’re looking for outside lighting I would highly recommend these.

Beautiful light, great price. Used on external front garage so needed low wattage. A bit of work to install over brick where the original lights were- the interior attachment did not align so I hammer-drilled into the brick (1/4 " bit) and used the included anchors. Light on/off works perfectly (needs to be dark for a few seconds- don't worry if it does not come on if you hold your thumb over the clear screw that allows light in.) All praise- I am buying a second pair to keep for when the bulbs go out, since the price is right.

I was very impressed with the build of the Hyperlite LED fixtures. These are compact outdoor weather resistant units with a decent amount of brightness (~3500 Lumin) and easy installation into existing wiring. They can be wall mounted using a typical octagon box or be mounted onto conduit using the threaded side openings. Power consumption is 30 Watts. Included in this kit are: → Two light units → A handful of wire nuts, screws and anchors → A warranty card → A dusk to dawn photocell is already pre-installed and enabled, to disable see below. → If you wish to disable the photocell and only use it as a typical switched on/off you must UN-PLUG the photocell's wiring pigtail during the install. This is the small black and white wire leading to the white chip deeper inside the unit. Hyperlite mentions this on the store page, however it is not mentioned on any documentation included. Note that the photocell is for dusk to dawn operation, not for motion sensing. Looking at the top of the units there is the identification sticker which lists a UL Certification number E539088 and is suitable for use in damp locations. Upon opening up the unit I certainly believe that it can withstand the elements having a foam backing plate for the wall mount, and a full gasket for where the mounting plate meets the fixture itself. Even inside the wiring area all screw holes and wiring routing is filled with sealant, and two weatherproof plugs are included for the conduit mounts already installed. The entire fixture is constructed out of aluminum and pieces fit well together. The lens is a lightly frosted plastic which I believe is polycarbonate and it feels sturdy. On the back side holes for common octagon boxes are already pre-drilled which saves a step in installation and I simply threaded it into a standard box. The dusk to dawn photocell is enabled by default, and when it senses daylight it will shut off the light within 10 seconds. Now for the light output: the colour of the light is listed at 5000K which is a fairly cool bright white but not too cold to the point of appearing blue, this is typically referred to as "Daylight" colour temperature, however it can be harsh on the eyes to look at directly vs more warmer lights so keep the install location and angle in mind. For the brightness, Hyperlite has both 3450 and 3600 Lumin listed on the store page at the moment. Not sure which is correct but those are close enough that I don't believe it matters and I do not doubt that level of output. By comparison a typical 100w "equivalent" normal light bulb has about 1500 Lumin and that is spread out in nearly every direction. Wall pack lights focus the light forwards, giving more range somewhat like a headlamp on a vehicle. The stated area of the light is 110 square feet however I believe that is a misleading statement. The brightest portion of the light pattern is indeed going to be concentrated in roughly that much area depending on how high the fixture is installed, but the light will flood out far further than that. I have included a photo with the light mounted roughly 8 feet high. There are larger wall pack lights with higher output (and Hyperlite sells those as well) however these are much more compact and with that comes lighter weight making the install a bit simpler and less stressful on whatever mounting is used. I weighed the unit at about 650 grams, or roughly a pound and a half.

This listing for the "HyperLite" branded Outdoor LED Wall Lights really caught my eye when I came across the listing and I was very interested in the opportunity to check this out. We are in the process of converting our lower level into a Rental Suite and I felt this could be a good candidate for providing walkway "security" lighting for the future tenant who would need to access a side entrance to the suite. This product arrived well packaged for protection during shipping. Mine was damage free. You will have some screws, plastic achors and wire marrettes included for each fixture. Installation is not difficult for anyone who has a bit of prior experience in putting up fixtures and dealing with "basic" wiring. (If not, please contact an Electrician!) I like that the design of this fixture allows for wiring to be fed from the rear (if you have an existing junction box) or from the sides via a conduit connection (if you have no pre-existing wiring in your location and will need to feed a line to it externally). I also appreciate that the integrated photocell can easily be bypassed during your wiring install if you want the unit to strictly run via an on/off wall switch. It is good to have options. I want to note that while there is a gasket on the rear backing plate, I found that whether this will completely seal out moisture will be dependant on how "flat" your exterior wall actually is. Mine has textured bricking that varies so this fixture would NOT sit completely tight against it. Therefore, I would need to use a good application of silcone on the back area and along the top edge to keep water from potentially running down the back and right into the junction box! On the "cosmetic" side, this is really a case of beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I feel this is more a Commerical/Industrial type product vs. a "pretty" Home fixture. But, I suppose that is entirely the point. If you are looking for something with over the top Style, this is not it. On the plus side, I really appreciate that this product has a UL Certfication noted on it. This does appear to be quality product. Most important of all, the projected light is very bright! The 30W LED will also be more efficicent over an "old school" halogen projector lamp which is a big consideration if your intention is to have this run all night long from dusk to dawn using the photocell. In the end, I have some mixed feelings about this, but I do feel it is quality product. The UL rating is a big plus as many fixtures I come across on Amazon are questionable at best in that regard. The currenty listing price of $62.99 is quite reasonable for 2 pk in my opinion. I certainly feel this Hyperlite product is worthy of being on your list of possible considerations if you are looking a quality outdoor light for your home or business. However, I do feel this is more of a commercial grade product because of its design and cosmetic aesthetic. I am giving this a solid 4 out of 5 rating.
