I didn't hold my breath to be pleased with these, especially for the price, but so far, they have survived a wash with no wear. They look fabulous on my pillows, really fancy. I'd recommend these to anyone. They have a little pocket to make sure your pillow is covered up, but it slips away from mine because they're small for kings. Double layered and silky smooth. They're just beautiful and amazingly so at the price.

These are beautiful. They did require ironing - however, they ironed very easily. Hoping after they are washed a couple times, the ironing won't be required either. The smoothness of the case itself actually surprised me. The lace is only on one side, but it still works for my purposes. The reason I'm giving it a 4 instead of 5 is because although it IS machine washable (which is was is advertised), upon receipt it says "Gentle Cycle" ... which is not really a big deal except it won't be able to be washed with other bedding that way. Still - I am very happy with this purchase.

The fabric for these cases is very nice and the lace on the front hem is pretty, although it would be better if lace were on the back hem also. The main problem is that the hem on the back of the pillow case hasn't been sewn at all. To understand what this means, picture you're wearing a skirt with two side seams. The skirt hem is four inches wide (like the pillow case hem). On the front of the skirt, it's been folded up and sewn in place; but on the back of the skirt, it's just been folded up and not sewn in place. This means that the unsewn four inch hem will fall down and hang in an unsightly way below the bottom of the skirt. This is exactly what happens with these pillow cases. Hold up the pillow case by its corners with hem on the bottom and you have exactly the same situation (or prop the pillow up on the bed and see the unsewn hem gaping open).I don't believe the gaping hem was intended as a "cover" for the pillow since it is on the hem which always extends beyond the size of the pillow. One reviewer thought that might be the case, but her pillow was too "small" for it to work. My standard size pillow was also too "small" and I've never seen a pillow case made this way. If you don't mind having to sew the hem in place on the back of the pillow cases, then you could order these pillow cases. I think, however, that they should all be returned to the manufacturer in China so they can sew the hems in place and the customer doesn't have to do it.

Oh my goodness - they're not currently in stock but I really hope they return. We bought 2 and they are GORGEOUS. Prettier than pictured. Lovely lace finish. Clean and soft. Couldn't be happier - really hope the vendor will provide more through Amazon.

Wanted a better quality fabric of heavier weight would have preferred cotton not polyester. These are poorly made and I can not in good conscience recommend this product.

I wanted to like these, but the fabric is a bit flimsy and doesn't have a crispy look on my bed. I also found them to be too long for the king pillows so its really hard to see the lace on the edge which is why I bought them. The material doesn't work for me. The stitching looks kinda weird too. I'll have to keep searching

Very pretty decorative lace pillow cases at a good price but the other reviewer is correct, they need to sew down both sides of the opening instead of just one side. I bought some iron on hem tape and fixed them in a jiffy. I bought these for something pretty to protect the head rest of our recliner chairs, we seniors nap in our easy chairs. These will look nice, be easy to launder and the king size is large enough to cover the chairs back and head rest. I do not think the synthetic fabric would be soft enough for bed pillows but I prefer a high thread count cotton for those.

these are very pretty, soft. and i washed them one time so far on delicate. will not throw in with the towels like some of my pillow cases in the past. will order more if they are still in stock thankyou. it is hard to find real homey looking stuff any more or romantic flair or country these are all of those.
