Original Album Classics

The album labelled 'Middle Man' contains the music from the album 'Down Two Then Left'. I asked for a replacement and that had the same problem. It seems to be a quality control issue with label printing but the recording quality seems fine. My CD player also had a problem finding the correct track name listings.

Saw Boz Scaggs on the Jools Holland show several weeks ago performing 'Lowdown' which reminded me of the vinyl album 'Silk Degrees' i'd purchased many years ago. This five album C.D. box set seemed perfect to rekindle my love of his music and I was not disappointed. My favourite albums are of course 'Silk Degrees', particularly 'Lowdown', 'Georgia,' 'Lido Shuffle' and the live versions of 'What Can I Say', 'Jump Street' and 'It's Over' and the equally brilliant album 'Middleman' with the title track, 'Jojo', 'Simone', 'Breakdown Dead Ahead' and 'Do Like You Do In New York' being personal favourites. The other three albums have a completely different feel about them and as yet I'm still not hooked. However having read a good review of the album 'Moments' I will persevere and listen to them all a few times as some music has a habit of growing on you. Would love to see him perform live.

So pleased I purchased these 5 albums. Boz has such a distinctive voice . So talented , after listening to Boz all day I never tire of hearing him because he can sing a whole spectre of genres making them all seem his own , classic.Extremely good buy.

This is an excellent selection of Boz Scaggs albums and was well worth the money for the iconic 'Silk Degrees' alone. great listening and brilliant value - the set resides in my car.
