Very feature rich stereo that is a good value.
After installation (At Best Buy) we took this product for an extensive road trip to New England for a few days. This radio works as advertised. Very easy to connect your iPhone to activate CarPlay, just connect the cable to the radio and its activated. Apple Music, Messages and Maps work just like it would as if you were using your iPhone. Real test came when we were in Vermont to drive to Stowe. We knew that cell phone coverage would be spotty for our cellular network (Sprint) in the mountains, however Apple Maps still gave us accurate directions (The graphics were spotty..as expected.. but the directions were spot on). The controls were easy us get use to and program. The only drawback is the use of Siri. Sometimes the consistency of the responsiveness varied from 1st time identification of our speech to having to perform multiple attempts to complete a task (dictate a text per se) We had a backup camera installed and it works flawlessly as well. Overall we are very pleased with our purchase and highly recommend this product.UPDATE:This week after shutting off the radio ,going to the gas station and starting the car again, I discovered that the unit woild not turn on. I took the radio back to Best Buy and they they were able to get the radio to work again by pressing the "Reset" button (Located below the volume button) . Just in case other buyers discover the same situation.

nice deck, shiny screen
This deck performs well. The Apple CarPlay (the primary reason I bought it) kicks on the second I plug in my phone. The screen is responsive to touch.Things I don't care for:- Shiny screen. Why? This goes in a car, shiny things you have to read are bad in cars.- Smallish preset "buttons". Why not make these large? The screen is a nice size, get rid of the icon that shows the radio station next to what you are listening to, I doubt people click on these often, usually you have presets for the stations you actually want to listen to. If you really want to keep that, have an alternate screen design that allows LARGE presets so someone can quickly tap the screen when driving.- Issues connecting to steering wheel radio controls. Not sure where the blame belongs here, I have a Honda Ridgeline, bought this, bought the Axxess AWSC-1. It had a heck of a time recognizing this deck. I had to force the type manually. Still many issues, but also having issues with how the Axxess controller does buttons. I've ordered a PAC, hopefully it works.

Easy and reliable, a good inexpensive CarPlay unit.
So far I find this unit to be awesome. The CarPlay implementation is fast and reliable. It works perfectly with my iPhone 6S and iPhone 11 running iOS 13.The radio works very well, and can pull in weaker signals in both the AM and FM band. The FM radio is unit does not support RDS, so it doesn’t display radio station names. The screen’s overall clarity and touch control is excellent, exceeding my expectations. The screen has a bit of glare and is a bit fingerprint magnet. I may apply a matte screen protector over it. I'll update this review if and when I do that. For the bad:I love that this unit has a spinning volume knob, but the volume knob itself feels like cheap plastic. I wish they made the knob out of aluminum or some other heavier material. It deserves a heftier knob. Maybe someone can see if a retrofit is a possibility.Regarding Installation:I installed the unit myself. It took me about an hour for a basic installation, and there were no surprises. The USB and Line-In ports are at the back of the unit, so you'll have to decide how to make those ports accessible on your car. For my car, I ran these wires to the center console between the front seats. You may have better or different options in your car. Definitely consider hooking up the illumination wire, because if you don't the screen may be too bright at night. In all, considering feel, appearance, function, and price, I give this unit a 4-star rating. An improved volume knob and matte display would very likely push me to a 5 star rating.UPDATE: 18 months in, and I can report that this unit is still working great. It does crash once every 6 months or so, resulting in no display. A reset using the tiny reset button addresses it, but of course that also resets all the station and configuration settings.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY
I wish it was possible to give this product negative stars, I would surely rate it a negative 6 stars. This is the second one of the same unit that went bad in less than 2 months. When it worked, it was good. It just doesn't work for very long. Add to that the fact that I put it in my step daughter's car and she is 450 miles away at college, it has been nothing but a nightmare. I am sorely disappointed.I will never purchase another Jensen product as long as I live. Never. The staff at Amazon has been nothing short of amazing helping me with the issues. Once again, they have proven to be devoted to customer service. I can't say enough positive things about them!

Packed with features, but it was short-lived
Had installed for less than a year in my car and now it's just completely dead, won't turn on at all. I am going to pull my dash apart and double check, but I imagine I'm not special and the unit just died randomly, the same as all the other reviews. It was pretty cool while it lasted. Unit is rather lightweight, not sure if that is a good or bad thing. Features were great (used the Apple CarPlay, plugged in). Touch screen seemed decent. Oh well. Will probably choose a different brand going forth and hope it fairs better. I don't want to pay for a "better unit" because it seems these headhunts always become obsolete in a couple years anyway. **UPDATE** I took apart my entire dash and discovered the fuse on the back of the unit was blown (not sure why?). I replaced with another fuse and have been using the unit for an entire week without problems. Updating my review to four stars!
