Battery DOA on first use - UPDATED
Unit turns on when connecting battery, but pressing any button and the display goes blank and starts beeping. Cannot power off w/out removing battery. Unit appears to be DOA. As my order is over a month and a half old, and this is the first time I've tried to use it, I consider it a total loss. Unfortunate that I can't find a way to return or request a refund.I had planned to use this to test the CFM of my dust collection system before rebuilding it, but because it doesn't work, I'll be looking for another unit.UPDATE: I decided that I wasn't going to give up on this unit. I tested the battery and found that it was basically DOA, not the unit. I tried another battery I had laying around with a bit more juice. The unit came alive, but the battery warning indicated it was needing replacement. I put in a new battery and the unit now works as expected. Given that the documentation is a bit out of date with this 'upgraded' unit, I gave it a 4 star. Improved and up-to-date documentation would help.
