Great switch does the job and looks good

Nice looking light switch with a wide rocker.

The switch is reasonably well manufactured and has a smart, contemporary appearance with a switch mechanism that's really positive. The Mounting Frame fits neatly onto a standard 'back-box' but be aware, the switch mechanism takes up a fair depth and the 'back-box' depth required is compounded by the cable entry points being at the back. This means that the overall depth of the 'back-box', in my opinion, needs to be a minimum of 25mm if using 1.5mm solid core lighting cable. The screws provided for securing the 'Mounting Frame' are adequate but fitting the Contemporary Front-Plate needs some force. There is a slot at the bottom of the Front-Plate to enable release and this was found to be somewhat tricky as it needs a fairly brave force with a screwdriver and there is the worry that the plastic might split. Having said that, it hasn't so far so it's clearly stronger than it looks.

I love this type of switch personally. It looks neat and comfortable to switch the light on and off due to high surface area. It isn’t flimsy, feels very sturdy. The three dots which suppose to emit some light at night, can’t say much about as I haven’t been in that room in the evening. I am planning to order these for the whole of the house so I will know more about that later. Overall defiantly recommend if that’s the style you are going for.

The frame is screwed on, but the buttons are loose and turn sideways, catching on each other and turning on or off two at once. And as you could predict, one of the switches broke and ended up in the bin because it couldn't be returned. I bought a new one with British certificate for £8 and it works perfectly. Waste of money on this

I actually had a problem fitting this due to the size. Virtually all of my light fitting use standard 25mm back boxes and it is imposible to fit this in the box due to the wiring, which goes into the back rather than the top, so standard household UK wiring won't work. You need a minimum of 35mm back box to give room for the wiring at the back (the ad actually states it fits a 60mm back back which should give you a clue. Installation is really easy though, just 2 wires to swap over which takes seconds (this should be carried out by a qualified electrician though). At the time of review it's priced at £11.59 which is a reasonable price. There are very similar items available which actually are even easier to install (you have to fix the switch to the plate on this, rather than it coming as a combined unit), so I've rated as 4 stars, but happy to recommend.

Der Schalter wurde schnell geliefert. Einbau sehr einfach und passt in die Unterputzdose. Die 3 sehr kleinen Phosphorpunkte sind im hellen zu erkennen, leuchten im Dunkeln allerdings gar nicht.
