Mitre Junior Lite Training Football (Old Version)

Purchased for a 4 year old. Normally he would have a size 3 ball and this is a size 4 - but what attracted me was that it is the WEIGHT of a size 3. It has been successfully tested and is fine.It seems well made as you would expect from Mitre.Definitely not for indoor use!

Prior to this purchase we had low-cost brand footballs with a high turnover due to poor quality stitching, and it was a heavy ball for my kids at size 4.We purchased the Mitre and immediately identified its quality benchmark. Lightweight, thoroughly stitched, enhanced kinetic control and contact with its material, great performance all-round.It has boosted my Boys' technical training and quality output visibly and consistently. Brands that have a reputation to sustain might cost more, but if I'd purchased Mitre from the beginning, we wouldn't have gone through 7 balls of another poorly produced brand in 6 months.Highly recommended.

It looks and feels like a high quality football, this. The 'cushioned' outer skin is a great idea for budding young footballers; it helps a little with their control, and doesn't hurt as much when accidentally hit. Both are good for confidence. It even helps me look capable... ish.The only issue I have with mine is that it deflates fairly quickly, which is a bit of a pain. It's a chore having to pump it up every time we come to use it, and that's the only reason I'm giving it four rather than five stars. It could be that I've got a rogue one, of course, and it's good enough in every other way that I wouldn't let this put you off.Update: Oddly enough, it seems to have sorted itself out now, and no longer goes flat in a matter of days. In the spirit of honesty I thought I'd let people know. I'd buy another one without hesitation.

Bought this along with a goal for my 5yo son, its the perfect size and weight for him. He loves it, as its Mitre its top notch quality as well. Arrived quickly and well packaged.

brought this for my son as the description stated it had a padded outer skin. This is true and was a very effective ball until it accidently got kicked against a rose bush and has subsequently deflated a little. "That's normal!" I hear you shout, however other footballs that have met with the same fate of the rose bush have withstood the abuse and are still in use. A little disappointed overall

I've bought 3 of these footballs. These are perfect for younger children or for playing football in the garden or beach when you don't have to have to wear football boots/trainers. These balls are lightweight but really good quality. I'd recommend them and for the price are outstanding.

A relatively light weight football. Has a soft padded finish making it child friendly. It's been a hit with both of my son's aged 2 and 8. It is smaller than a full size football and I'd estimate about half the weight. My two year old has no problem picking it up and carrying it around. All in all very pleased.

Good ball. Better than the Sondico rubbish we were previously buying at Sports Direct which felt like kicking a stone.
