Which side is the inlet and which side is the outlet? Can the brackets be taken apart and the order of the filters changed if needed?

The order of the filters is important and shouldn't be changed. Why would you even want to?

Are there downloadable instructions? Most of the print instructions for this stuff come in microscopic fonts

I did not even look at the instructions. Air goes in on the side with the gauge and goes out the other. Plugging the unneeded outputs will have to be done. Cleaning out the cans and putting the desiccant in the can at the output is pretty straightforward. I have worked with these systems for the last few decades so I may have more experience with them than many.

We have a 3/8 in. x 50 ft., 1/4 in. mnpt fittings hose. will this unit work with that size hose? if not, are there adaptor fittings i should get?

You say there's no lubricator. Yet there is a oil fill mark on the middle section. Please explain

The middle section is a coalescing filter. You can see from the pictures the inside of the unit. It is not a lubricator. It is a coalescing filter.
