I bought this watch in August 2024. It looks fantastic, especially when fitted with a leather strap to make it look more like a dress watch. The tracking was decent enough for me, although it is known that the step counter is off and undercounts by quite a lot. Unfortunately I started to notice intermittant charging issues with the watch where it would say it is charging but then not change the percentage. This is a well known issue that has been discussed at length on the Withings website forums by many users. I tried factory resets and different chargers. Nothing seemed to stop the issue. Withings will still not do anything about this and just seem to ignore the issue. Ultimately I have had to return the watch via Amazon nearly a year later. Such a shame as I absolutely loved this watch.

This watch really does look good and battery is excellent. But the sleep tracking has limitations. I bought this watch to replace my 5 year Withings Steel HR, which recorded sleep fine. After doing lots of tests, I have come to realise the issue with the Scanwatch2 sleep recording is my tattoos. I have tattoos on both wrists , but the tattoo on the right wrist is less dense in colour. So when wearing the watch on my normal left wrist the watch does not record sleep, if I switch to the right it records. This was not the case with my withings steel hr, so the technology change in the Scanwatch 2 has a limitation regarding tattoos when recording sleep data. This I believe Withings know but do not make it clear to end users before purchasing the watch. So the workaround of switching the watch at night to the right wrist for sleep recording works, however, this is not ideal. Another issue with Withings is the support website, it’s designed to frustrate users who would just like to raise a support ticket. The support links loop you back to tutorials and forums, with no direct link to raise a ticket.

Die WITHINGS ScanWatch 2 habe ich mir gekauft, weil ich eine Smartwatch suchte die nicht jeden Tag aufgeladen werden muss. Die folgenden Beschreibung ist basierend auf meine Erfahrungen und Empfinden. Also ich habe die Uhr seit einer Woche und seit dem wird täglich die Schlaf Analyse (automatisch), regelmäßige Sauerstoffsättigung und Herzfrequenz Messungen durchgeführt. In Kombination mit dem Blutdruck Messgerät und der Körperwaage bekomme ich so einen runden Eindruck zu meinem gesundheitlichen zustand (wenn ich das so sagen darf). Natürlich bin ich auch regelmäßig beim Arzt, aber es ist schon ein gutes Gefühl spontan bestimmte Gesundheitswerte abrufen zu können. Die Werte ersetzen aber keinen Arzt, also gute Kontrolle aber keine vollwertige Untersuchung wie beim Arzt. Der Akku hält jetzt seit einer Woche, trotz regelmäßiger Checks. Die vorherigen Punkte waren für mich wichtig, "nice to have" sind Themen wie Nachrichten Empfang, Anrufer Informationen etc. Was mir an der Uhr noch gefällt, sie sieht wie keine Smartwatch aus, sondern wie eine Analoge Uhr was sie von dem ganzen Einheitsbrei des "Apfel Designes" abhebt. Allerdings ist das Display so klein, das ich die Daten (außer Uhrzeit) lieber am Handy kontrolliere, aber das habe ich vorher mit den üblichen Smartwatches auch schon so gemacht. Sobald man Lese-Brillenträger ist, macht man das glaube ich eh bei jeder Smartwatch. Also für mich volle Punktzahl, da ich bisher keinen Negativen Punkt gefunden habe. PS: Lieferung war just in Time!
