Beware, boards not split
Excellent product, quality and value. Works as I expected. The boards were not split though, so one has to find a way of cutting them apart to get the two units out of them.

The kit comes with two breakouts and two sets of jumper wires. Each breakout has a male connector on one side, where it plugs into something like a load or data source, and a female connector on the other, where it would connect to a corresponding source of power or whatever. USB-C plugs have 12 pins but the breakout has 13 because it separates the shield in case you want to check that. The jumpers come in a set of 12, so you'll skip either one of the pins (perhaps the shield) or add an additional jumper of your own or (as in my photo), clip your meter or whatever directly onto one of the headers. I've just tested the thing, running battery power to a mostly-charged GoPro. No complaints. There is a negative review here saying that the male side of the breakout didn't fit anything. I plugged it into several devices, and though it's an awkwardly shaped device that physically might not be able to get close enough to plug into some ports, if you can get it close, it will plug in.

Does not pass through SBU1/SBU2/CC, jumper wires are not copper
This fails my cable checker and I'm not sure why since all pins appear to be passed through, but SBU1/SBU2 and CC fail continuity check. The PCB appears to be mis-labeled also, or does not expose CC1 and CC2. I have other breakouts without this issue so I'm not sure why this board fails or what the pins labeled B2, B3 and so forth are even supposed to be? Also the jumpers are magnetic (not copper) and should be throw away immediately to avoid mixing in with any decent quality jumpers you may have.

Good trinket
Very interesting piece of equipment. Worth it for tinkerers. Good price. Easy to check connectivity of USB devices and connectors fit good.

well 1 side is male and 1 female so if you think you'll be able to sniff across a connection, you wont... also I question the viability of the signal if you could use it that way... the connections go flaky easily - they're cheap, buy 2 sets...

Think of all the times you really needed this and didn't have it
If only I had one (or two) of these earlier in my life -- I would be so much happier. I used to cut cables in half and check continuity to troubleshoot that bad/cracked solder joint... but this thingy is better than turning on a light in dark room. Buy one for yourself, and give the other to a friend -- they will thank you.
