Seriously though, how cool would that Buffy the Vampire Slayer Tarot deck have been?
Anyone with even the faintest knowledge of what a copyright is should be able to comprehend why the guidebook does not specify what TV shows the cards are modeled after, so the disappointment and bewilderment that it's not going to be spelled out for them is honestly rather surprising. Did they really think a small Italian Printing House who specializes only in Tarot cards that somehow now that the rights to 78 different TV shows? I'm assuming this deck was aimed at the pop culture savvy and if you are among that set you'll have no problem identifying most of these cards. I only watch 4 shows on television regularly and I was able to surmise 80 % of the majors and about 50% of the miners on my first passing through and I'm sure if I spend a little more time pain during each card I could bump that up to 60 maybe 70%. I think part of the fun is meant to be figuring it out as you go along and as you read for different friends (I can't imagine this deck being used for a professional reading but you never know.) The card stock is standard Lo Scarabeo (you've had better, you've had worse), you're not going to remember anything little white book said, but how often do you really anyway? For me where the deck Fells ultimately is some of the choices made and there's something about the artwork that just looks odd. Some of the choices surprised me and they seem very of the moment and I can't imagine that in say even for years some of these tv shows will have any resonence. I do agree with some of the whiners that I'm more universally known Pantheon of small screen hits may have been the better choice here. Some of the cards are pure genius (The 10 of Cups as The Addams Family, for example) and work because it not only perfectly illustrates the most common interpretation of the card but the television show featured is something that is part of the cultural lexicon. Dallas' J.R. as the King of Pentacles? Absoutely. Glee as the 4 of Wands? It technically works but is it relevant? Did anyone but the most sadomasochistic of fans watch past season 2?CSI Whatever as the 5 of Cups? The show is obvious but how is this an appropriate choice for that card. There's a little bit of shoehorning going on here.A card that is perfectly matched in television show and card interpretation is the three of cups with the Sex in the City gals. But for whatever reason SJP is not holding a cup. I understand that there are for ladies and only three cups to go around but shouldn't the main character of the TV show be in the foreground raising a chalice not in the background on her computer? And I never actually watched Murder She Wrote I was only aware of its existence as a child for some reason but the Angela Lansbury-esque character on the Queen of Pentacles is the most inhuman looking creature in the 78 and she had X-Files, Doctor Who and Hannibal to compete with.I got this deck out of curiosity. I wasn't quite sure what to expect and I guess in that sense it delivered because I'm kind of not sure what to make of it. I did a quick 3 card reading with it and for me it read just okay. It was a little jarring to go from Happy Days to a show I did not recognize that apparently is about a man in a wheelchair holding some type of financial book to Buffy depicted as the strength card. I lost focus on the reading and instead started wishing that canceled Buffy the Vampire Slayer Tarot deck would have seen the light of day as it would have been so much cooler than this. I'll offer it as a choice when I read for friends but I doubt anybody will choose it. There's nothing about it that has that je ne sais pas that a great Tarot deck has. It it really is the equivalent of watching a random night of television. It will occupy your time and srave off boredom in the moment and all but you're not going to remember it or think about it the next day.

Practical, well thought out deck with few flaws
This should really be a 4-star review, but I'm adding an extra star for the sheer difficulty of producing something like this, and the inventiveness that went into it.I love this deck! I've been using it for client readings since I got it, and getting good results. Incidentally, it's a good deck to read for younger or sensitive audiences, because it doesn't have overtly "scary" cards, or nudity.Pros:1) Mostly appropriate character choices (which sets this deck apart from many theme decks, like the impractical Game of Thrones Tarot). There are cards that are just perfect, and while this is subjective, I found only two problems - not bad out of 78.2) Good stock and brilliant colors - very bright colors, and a good sense of depth. Love the borderless design.3) The faces are generalized - which makes it easier to read, at least for me personally. I notice that some people are having problems with that, but I believe that's a subjective issue. Decks that look like representations of actual people can be problematic - you don't necessarily want the cards to be really specific, it can be harder to see them as the client's situation. Faces like these make the deck more universal.4) It's fun, fun, fun! C'mon, the Knight of Wands is highway patrol cop, on a bike (chips), with the Rider Waite design etched into his uniform. The Knight of Cups is the Fonz! The 8 of Cups is the Smoking Man with a UFO! The 6 of Swords is the Vikings!Cons:Only two: the Empress and the Emperor cards are frankly awful. I can still deal with them, but oh boy, they did so well with everything else, and then really dropped the ball on the Empress. She's represented as the Veep - the busy politician - that really doesn't work. The Emperor is a little better (House of Cards), but he's a sinister, controlling figure - so both the Empress and the Emperor are power-mad rulers right from the get-go, and it's hard to view them as caring mother and father figures. I'm still happy with the deck - you can't please everyone, but it's definitely a flaw you should be aware of when you get it. (you should get it though :)

First hand prices for second hand damage
The product delivered was second hand. The box was damaged in several places including badly fitted sellotape to hold it apart at the bottom. Very disappointed.

Chulada friki

Mediocre
