Ideal if you already wear a more encompassing medical type of brace, the sort which fasten with Velcro, to which fabric and threads adhere like magic and drive you crazy! These provide a modicum of support and comfort while you're doing your craft or hobby (hence 4 stars rather than 5), but don't get in the way as they're not bulky. They also keep your hand and the joint warm on a cold day and of course after sewing/crafting you can return to a firmer brace/support. Great to wear with gloves (my medical brace won't allow me to get my nice gloves on), plus easily washable and quick-drying too.

These are a good strong support but can be a bit too tight to wear for long. I use mine at night and a lighter weight during the day. They really help my arthritic thumbs during flare ups. Would recommend

I bought this after an injury caused by one of my very excitable collies. My thumb was bent right back. I tried a couple of different supports. They both had splints which I found were never really in the best place to support my thumb. I tried this one. Its a stretching fabric with a gel cushion exactly where you want it to protect the thumb. Its a great support, I've been wearing it for a couple of weeks. Its not bulky and so it does prevent you using the other fingers while allowing the thumb to rest. Its feels a slow business to heal my thumb - but it is my right hand and Im right-handed making it sometimes impossible not to use. These supports are very well made. One thing to mention. I have extremely small hands and wrists and the small size is quite a tights fit - but really thats what is needed for an injury like this.

The support is light and does ease the arthritis in my wrist/thumb. In general it is very good however I ordered the medium size for my average size wrist/hand but as well as looking too small it is also way too tight. My wrist is between the recommended measurement for a medium sized support but it is so tight my hand swells when I wear it. I can only wear it for half an hour before it restricts blood flow. I would possibly agree to go up a size/request the large size for medium sized hands.

Good for arthritic thumbs. I could do with the thumb being a bit longer to cover the middle joint. Used for when walking the dog.
